pro tip.
criss-cross your moring lines to make it so your boat doesnt get taken under by the dock.
this is a IRL accurate thing that nautical people do.

simply take your bow line and attach it on dock near the stern, and the stern line attach to dock near the bow.

You can put a small storage box inside the pilot house and it will bridge the proximity gap pulling material from below decks to repair the wind turbines.

I would recommend setting up multiple Food processors at the Laz complex for 2 reasons.
1 it takes forever to make the good food.
2: Food processors demand a ton of power and a lot of water.
Plus space on the boat is extremely finite were the opposite is true at the complex.

Overkill for the batteries, turbines and solar panels.

Nice looking boat, but I will point out few unnecessary things:
1. Too many solars. I am getting about just fine with 4
2. Too many turbines. Newest update improved durability, but they're there just to trickle chage you after dark... I am doing great with 3
4. Very inefficient use of the healing room - you put in 6 diesel tanks, in mine I had 5 diesels and 8 med batteries, until I moved all tanks below deck
5. You just wasting space with 4 tanks of petrol - if you use it just for flamer 1 is more than enough, paired with petrol generator from bio. Jetski is overrated and it is a horror to tow in storm, not to mention it slows you down when towed.
6. Engine room - very inefficient setup with batteries. They are easiest to really stack them everywhere, there you should have put in diesel tanks.
7. Engine room still - water tanks are also a waste of space there. You need them, and below the deck especially if you want to run food processor and soilforge, but this is a bad place for them
8. Just love the storage boxes on the overhead. And no, not too many of them. however, I used overhead to run cables and hoses, with very healthy number of extenders to avoid them on the deck... caretaker doesnt get tangled in those at all, but anything you carry or throw will, sometimes pulling the cable from the plug.
9. There is no point in having a lot of diesel tanks if you run oil tanks and distillation tower - you can literally make your own fuel, just make sure you have power. and if that's the case, you just set aside two oil tanks for the exodus station use, unless you collect CO2 and/or methane (like me). Even then, 12 oil tanks is overkill.

My setup is this:
4 lumimax, 3 typhoons, 10 diesel tanks (of which 7 are below deck in engine room and not counting internal), 15 med batteries (not including internal, of which 7 are below deck in engine room), 1 petrol tank, 7 oil tanks, 7 water tanks (of which two are in forward room below deck, and planning on deleting them), 2 co2 tanks, 1 methane tank and 32 large storage boxes on bulkheads and overhead. I have also water purifier, diesel fuel generator, petrol fuel generator, distillation tower, large petrol generator, soilforge prime and food processor. Never happened to have them all running concurrently, but it was close once or twice, and I saw power storage levels drop to about 50%. Anyway, this diesel setup allows me to go from black vein to seed vault, then to lazarus, then to exodus and then back to black vein without refuelling, and it also includes a lot of side quests or just sight seeing. with added distillation tower that range is tripled. Black vein is where I have fuel, because the point of the game is to send a lot of humans to space, so you will be going between seed vault(s) and Lazarus and Exodus, so might as well make oil platform your refuelling point instead.

I do not use mooring lines, as they are iffy and were allowing night nematodes on board, so I maeuvered close and just dropped anchors, usually. New update has them nematodes able to climb ladders, so they will get onboard even on sea, so now time to run some lighting, so mooring lines are in use only at lazarus, to not need to throw human pods and risk them going overboard. Seas are much more dangerous nowadays, do not go into the drink unless you have to.

Not sure why people make overkill setups. Especially for setups where you drop oil off, empty the diesel and fuel, then leave. You don't need enough battery capacity to run the machine for an hour, and at the same time, enough panels to run the machine without batteries. A battery bank can be smaller than the energy required to process the oil you deposit. You will be able to use solar to charge the batteries while the refinery is running. I would have maybe 1/3 of the required input in active solar production and maybe 4 batteries.

You seriously need to turn OFF motion blur ... it looks crap in a video and difficult to follow your point of view. It also looks like your graphics is set to high ... it messes with the movement.

Wow amazing setup, but how do you get so much diesel, does fixing the Fuel station containers fill them? I've always scrapped for diesel so can't using it too much, and I see you have setup the wind turbines in the ceiling, my ship seems to always be at 6kw, can that be topped up too?.

Pretty early on in my game play. I just started making some of the processing machines, had no idea you could place tanks on the walls lol.  Love that, my deck was getting small.  Gonna steal that.

the ship gets stuck under the tires at the dock. that's why it's listing. in those situations i just anchor the ship. (using the mooring cables to get close to the dock only)

i just did process it back at the oil rig but maybe i should do that elsewhere dunno my ship is one big tanker haha like 20 storages for diesel xD

I think it's a game design issue, the tire thingies on the side of the dock, which I think are supposed to prevent your shit hitting the dock (at least that's what they are used for in real life, not sure if the game has that mechanic), they are simply way too small. Water is not that calm in-game, so the ship bounces a bit. I think that is the reason that even if you dock the ship well, it can get stuck under those tires and then tip like that.
