Updated Video Here - I Completely Rebuilt My Ship for Update 5....

In this video, I give you a complete tour of my current ship layout in The Last Caretaker following the release of Update 5.

The new connection sockets have made a huge difference to the build, allowing me to improve the cable management and create a much cleaner and more organised ship layout. I also take a look around the newly added helipad, which is an awesome addition and fits perfectly into the current design.

Join me as I walk through the ship, show how everything is connected and share how Update 5 has improved the overall build.

Let me know what you think of the layout and whether there is anything you would change or add!

Love this kind of update videos, that are 15-35min long, i dont have time to watch full livestream. Can you make another vid like this and add more fuel or oil storage under helipad.

I see a lot of discussion about Stabilizers draining power, but I run 4 at all times with a similar level of batteries and never get even close to 5.0kw drainage. I also realize a lot of what we do in these builds is about overkill, so not sure that worrying about plugging and unplugging the stabs is just a case of this! Interested in your perception.

I have the same complaints as you; the wall connectors should be longer and able to connect more things together... I have like 4 + 3 wind turbines on the low deck next to the cabin on both sides, next to the stairs, and next to the walk-on platform with the ladder. It fits in there perfectly and lets me use those tight spaces pretty well.

So I'm not really a gamer, I've never had the hand/eye cooridnation you need and dying over and over again just isn't fun. Then I found this game and I fell in love, I've got over 600 hours of game play. Then came the gyrocopter. Its ruined the game for me and I'm really sad about it. I can't fly it, I've watched tons of videos and spent hours trying to master it but i find it unflyable. So now the game is basically ended for me, I can't progress. I know it sounds stupid to say you're sad about a video game, but I truly am. I wish they'd give an alternate way to get into these things, even if it was platforming, which is hard but doable for me. I'm not a cheater but at this point if there was a cheat that would let me bypass the copter I'd do it. Anyway, I love your videos, I love how you have the ship laid out and your love of the game really comes through. I guess I'll live vicariously through you and other youtubers exploring the game as it continues to grow.

Currently redoing my ship and I want to make my life as tedious as possible for the sake of roleplay. My oil rig platform and Jonah will only be for producing and storing oil, I then transport itbto the refinery platform and take on the refined products, then at major POIs I will be storing Diesel and Petrol. I will also be planning to set up large scale rocket fuel production and storage at the launch platform. Food production I still need to find a suitable place to do

I may steal the idea of fuel storage on the underside of the helipad, I hadn't thought of that before

Nice ship vid. Do you find the stabilizers make a difference ? I have yet to see it (but may not have them in the right place - though seems to be conflicting opinions about that too)
