Hmmm that Warach Harkon T5 Settlement in Nuln thing does seem weird

Just a quick note on Glottkin, they actually get access to a permanent shatterstone through one of their systems. In general I find that their blessing system is stronger than the default WoC one.

Such is the balancing of Nagash!

Apparently there is a CA dev that hates confederation so expect some characters to have nerfed confederation until he gets fired.

Yeah maybe don't give the one guy who's actively trying to conquer the world a city limit.

The change in conferations sucks and one of the dev during a live admitted it was a personal idea of his because he hates that original confederation was too powerfull. He also said that as long as he's tasked with the reworks any future faction rework will include this kind of "nerfed" system

hhm maybe just tune confederation goals lite bit and make that after confederation two and four you get one plus necropolish limit

I have over 2.1k hrs into twwh3 and I'm still a newb. I DO like Nagash... it's different. I usually play dorfs.

They didn't make Nagash they made Nadon't

In last 24 hours, I bounced hard off Nagash campaign, quit at turn 25.
Started Glottkin and 73 turns later I have a rolling putrid ball of snot, puke, filth and disease ready to take Altdorf.
For the End times, Archaon has not moved out of his starting territory, only confederated Arbaal. Sad times, Archaon.
Still a lot of content to play and I promise myself that I will start and finish a Vlad campaign.

So I played Nagash and Neferata for a bit, and honestly, I’m really not a fan of the vampire rework or the DLC overall.

Nagash feels way too limited because of his poor economy. He’s just not that great to play, and that’s probably the biggest problem I have with his campaign.

As for the Vampire Counts, I just think the unit cap is ridiculous. Why the fuck do we have a unit cap? And why can’t we use Blood to increase it for all units? Or did I miss something? The same could be done with the Tomb Kings. Just let us use Canopic Jars to increase the unit limits. Easy as that. Nagash can do it with his Necroic Energy, so why not give the Vampire Counts and Tomb Kings something similar? That would be great.

Now, coming to the endgame scenarios. I fucking hate them. Yet again, we have an endgame scenario where armies just spawn out of thin air all over the world and attack everything. The AI is not able to deal with these endgame scenarios at all, or it simply doesn’t help enough. It’s completely incompetent when it comes to dealing with them. It’s just ridiculous. It makes sense that the player should be an important part of the endgame scenario, but it shouldn’t be just the player, and only the player, doing everything. It feels like I’m doing all the work while the AI is just getting dumped on.

I wish CA would finally understand that the best kind of difficulty comes from having challenging AI empires that can actually rival the player. But nope, that doesn’t seem to happen anymore. At least in my experience, that was something Warhammer 2 did much better than Warhammer 3.

Good review. Idk if I'll be buying any of the dlcs for the end times though. I'm still salty over the High Elves half baked "rework". And as somebody who mains HEs and Vampire Coast, HEs got shafted, and VC have never received a single update or dlc, since it's release in TW2, just multiplayer nerfs that affected single player in a very negative way. Lol. I hope everyone enjoys the End times dlcs though. Have fun with them.

Nagash is the toy box faction but CA did their best to lock the toy box.  Most of his mechanics are designed to limit you.  You cant even get enough money to pay for your units because of his trash tier economy.

I don't get why they didn't make the confederation mechanics similar to the dwarfs.

My Greenskin ladz are crying in a corner. Over powered Dwarfs to the left Insane Skaven to the right. Now the dead gitz are hopping up and down high on that necromancer shrooms. CA send help!

The best review I've seen so far, everyone else is staying way too superficial in their analysis or are too focused on polishing CA's shoes.
But what I'm more curious to know is if/how CA integrated all that content to older factions.
Are these DLC just insular things or did CA actually put some effort into integrating them properly with the rest of the game?

Did they give the Cauldron of a thousand pox as mount to Skrolk? Did his faction get something special for the pusbags?
Did Moulder and/or Skryre get have had the new units added to their faction mechanic (Not having the Warp-Doom Magma Cannon present in Skryre Forbidden Workshop would be especially lame).
Did Arkan got access to the the Morghasts as his good boy perk for being Nagash herald?
Did Luthor Harkon, one of the Mortachs, get the cool Mortach mount as a new option or did he get ignored like the rest of his faction?
Did Khatep get some faction bonus for the new High Liche Priest?
Did Sethra get some faction bonus for the new Herald? Did he get his god boosted golden form he got in the End Times?
Do Khalida have any particular interaction with Neferata now? Do you have some incentive to go fright here, or do you go attacked by her?
Did they made the northern Empire AI factions (like Nordland) more focused on Ulric than Sigmar now that its a thing?
When you play as any undead faction, can you encounter the Nagash End Time event where you have to join him. (Having to cross the sea as Harkon to reach the Black Pyramid and join Nagash after his rebirth would have been great).
Same question for the Chaos or Skaven related End Time events?
Do Archaon actually get anything related to the End Times when you play him with this patch?
Do the moon actually crash in Lustria during the skaven End Time scenario?

Where is Valten? How can they make a End Time DLC, featuring the Empire as race, and NOT have that pretty important actor. He would have made a perfect LH that would show up when the End Time even start.
Do you get the End Time events if you don't own the DLC? If Not do you just have the old End Game events?
Can you actually get a "real End Times" where you get the Skaven, Chaos and Undead event happen simultaneously?
Do Felix and Gotrek have any actual interaction with Thanquol (when playing them, or playing Thanquol)?

Speaking of Nagash, are you ever able to upgrade the Black Pyramid settlement to turn into flying pyramid horde settlement while playing Nagash?
This is a pretty iconic feature of that pyramid, and it actually happen when you play against him, so I sure hope you can do it when you play it yourself.
Continuing with Nagash, when you don't play him, is he still there, just chilling as an AI, or did CA made the right move and simply not have him on the map until he shows up as End Time event?
Do the flayerkin have the ability to climb on siege walls (or at least get climbing buff) since the WHOLE POINT of that unit on table top was that they were specifically made to climb walls during sieges (which is why they have hooks for hands).

Adding a lot of content is cute, but what I want is a world that feel coherent.

I thought I was going crazy being the only one who felt like thanquols mechanic looked kinda lame compared to how cool he should be. But every other content creator is just glazing his campaign saying it is amazing and I just felt like "wow, is that it?" as soon as a saw it. Nice to hear at least one person with early access also thought it was lacking.

Confederacy nerfs were definitely needed but not when the faction mechanic is bound to its will. I think Nagash should, instead of confederating factions overtly, just simply have extreme influence over them. There should be requirements that are specific but 15 knights to recruit someone? How about owning a certain resource or location or having a certain number of books of nagash? I think overall the problem is nagash is just too strong anyway. The game is very abusable and tricked for easy wins. Even without nagash, one good ambush and a faction dies to me, etc. I don't think CA should focus on difficulty but how interesting or intriguing the choices are. I also think they should add way, way more narrative content. I'd like to learn a little more about the world I'm in. I know its Immortal Empires mode but still. There's so much potential there. Dropping raw units in a game that isn't really that fresh anymore is getting tired.
