Palace of Winds getting the love it deserves feels right.

It seems to be a trend with zelda games, both 2d and 3d, that while the final dungeon is often lacking the penultimate dungeon more than makes up for it often to the point of being the best dungeon in the game.

Minish cap might just be the Zelda game I have the fondest memories of, and that I've revisited the most. The art style is incredibly memorable, and I wish the Picori would make a return appearance someday! Probably my favourite Zelda race.

I played this on my GameBoy Advance SP back when it came out, and absolutely loved it. The art style, dungeon design and soundtrack make it so memorable. I replayed it again this year on my Switch 2, and I can confirm that, yes, it is still my favorite top-down Zelda game ever. Timeless classic.

0:16 I agree 100%. I played the game with low expectations because of mixed reviews but by the time I finished the first dungeon it was secured as my favorite Zelda game

My favorite dungeon is the temple of droplets

I love minish cap but my all time favorites are oracle of seasons and oracle of ages

I just 100% completed Minish Cap 👍

Got all the kinestone fusions and received the tingle trophy, all heart pieces, all items, bottles, upgrades, etc…

Minish Cap isn’t my favorite in the series but it has decent dungeons, bosses, and the music is pretty good. The kinestones, figurines, and navigating the structure of the overworld felt like a chore. Vaati also isn’t all that interesting.

Palace of Winds is my GOAT!

Another fantastic quality video!!! Can't WAIT for your twilight Princess content!!!! Take care of yourself Billy, please don't burn yourself out with all this consistent quality content. ❤️❤️❤️

Also, on a rewatch, I just realised that your reveal of the second half of the dungeon was paired perfectly with that point in the music where it transitions from awe inspiring and wonder, to that more threatening feeling of animosity. Dunno if that was intentional, but it works really unwell. Kudos!!!! 😁

Any plans to cover Four Swords Adventures? I think those dungeons are underrated, especially considering the way the puzzles change depending on how many people are playing.

Nice you did it thanks

Can you do a link between worlds next? It also has the best 2d dungeon in my personal opinion.

Just saying, capcom did a great job with the three Zelda games they made. Nintendo should be more open to letting other developers tackle Zelda.

Cough fromsoft cough

Best boss in worst dungeon? Interesting.

Great video! I remember thinking I would love the Fortress of Winds because Castor Wilds was amazing on my first playthrough. I was so disappointed in the lack of an interesting design and puzzles, and lack of interesting mini boss. The boss is my favorite in the whole game, but the dungeon is probably my least favorite.

I just about put Temple of Droplets on #1 and probably Dark Hyrule #2, but I love the Palace of Winds almost just as much.
