Boundaries are SOOOOO important! There's a reason HR exists (yes, it has its own problems). There are power imbalances regardless of how colleagues, employees, and bosses get along, and it can easily breed a bad work environment. There needs to be a 3rd party that employees can go to without risk of consequences.

"one thing about Baily is he always has tik tok on volume 4000 -we could be in a library"
oh no, I think I hate Baily

Never heard of any of these brands but I loved spending these 51 minutes with you and learning all about them! I do think what you said about these people not having a normal work experience, only social media, plays a part in their willingness to be a part of the content. I wonder if the pay off of linking their personal (intangible) brand to the influencer's brand is worth it? They also may want less of it as they get older, possibly, and hopefully their friendships remain intact.

I don't know anything about influencing. I do know about working with a friend.
My bestie just started a new business two months ago.
How come i'm the one who's pushing her to work??
How come she is the one who's not showing up to work??
I believed in her with all my heart.
Now I fear this might get in the way of our friendship.
She is an amazing friend. She is
not a good person to work with.
We've been friends for ten years, and I never felt used.
Now, I decided to be her employee. I feel used.
I had talks with her. I feel like we're at a dead end.
I hate that I am in this position.
Now I know why people say do not work with family or friends.

Influencer brand hiring sounds like an HR nightmare. Toby would never even if Michael Scott insisted

If they wanted to create actual inclusive clothes, why do they keep using the number size system? Why not do what men's pants do and use the two measurements. Women actually come in all shapes and sizes but then all our clothes are supposed to fit universally. We all have different busts, butts, hip width, height, etc yet we are all supposed to think a large should fit the same on every woman.

I’m first!!! 😍😍😍

12:16 but why the lighting on this video then😭😭 (don’t get me wrong I like him it’s just..??)

43:53 While this brand may have been successful with this strategy for 8 years, I think this creator needs to learn about the downfall of American Apparel to truly understand the risks of using staff for advertising and how weak professional boundaries can snowball into more serious issues.
