 Incidentally took me two sessions to watch this 1hr 42 minute monster, absolutely mega!!

The seal lip is always towards the pressurized fluid side, everywhere. That way the fluid pushes the lip against the cylinder wall. If you put it the other way the fluid  will push the lip agains the piston and open a passage right between the seal and the cylinder wall  - that is no sealing at all. When you think it once, you can never install these wrong way again.

What you are prepared to tackle always amazes me. If I pulled all those brake and clutch things apart. My dustbin would just be fuller.
Probably prefer bikes. I do watch a couple of car ones. But only one other bike vlog.
It will be nice to see this old girl back together. They were always great bikes.

Loved the video Ash. At various points I've done the brake, clutch and slave cylinder service/refurbs on my bikes. Can be a PITA but weirdly satisfying when it all works great at the end. Nice work.

Oh, and keep it bikes for me mate, as others have said, there are other car channels, I love your bike vids 👍

The rubber rings on the drive sprocket are, I believe, supposed to cushion the chain as it passes around the sprocket.

If you get 4 x small lenths of fuel pipe, you can connect them to the carb vaccume spigot, then seal the ends with a small round head bolt.

The hard rubber on front sprocket is just a chain damper, suppose to lower chain impact and noise, never really noticed much of a difference. The little metal castle cap in master cylinder is a baffle to prevent brake fluid shooting up to the top cover when you squeeze the lever. It diverts the fluid to the sides. Most manufactures provide the chain tension amount with the swing arm tilt under the bikes full weight. Side stand will pretty much ensure that. Setting chain tension on swing arm stand should be fine, as long as stand is far back enough, ideally as close to axle as possible. If the stand is close to the pivot point though the swingarm might not tilt enough, chain tension might be too high.

I reckon manufacturers need to start bringing out some cool 80's/90's retro liveries, those purple wheels go hard.
