For the past several weeks, the Potensic Atom 3 has been surrounded by uncertainty in the United States while FCC approval is still pending. After making the difficult decision to ground our Atom 3, I reached out to Potensic with a simple request:

If the Atom 3 can't fly here yet, don't forget about the Atom 2 owners.

One of the features I specifically asked about was bringing the newer AR flight features from the iPhone version of the Potensic Eve app to the PTD1 screened controller.

Not long afterward, a new PTD1 update appeared...and those features are now available.

Was my email the reason? I honestly don't know.

Maybe it was already planned. Maybe other pilots requested the same thing. Either way, it's great to see Potensic continuing to improve the Atom 2 experience while many of us wait for news on the Atom 3.

In this video we'll:
✈️ Install the latest PTD1 update
🛰️ Test the new AR flight features
🏠 Check out the Home Point, RTH Route, and Landing icons
🤔 Share whether this update is actually worth installing

If you're flying the Potensic Atom 2 with the PTD1 controller, hopefully this helps you get even more out of your drone.

As always, thanks for watching, have a great week, and God bless!!!

Potensic recently sent us the brand-new Potensic Atom 3 drone for early testing, and there was one thing we wanted to check before anything else.

For the past couple of years we've been flying the Potensic Atom 2, affectionately known around here as "Roger." Roger has been an incredibly reliable drone and has served us well through countless flights. However, one of the most common questions and complaints we've seen from viewers involves the signal strength indicator displayed on the controller.

In our experience, the Atom 2 has never actually lost connection during normal flights, leading us to believe the signal display may be more conservative than the real-world performance suggests. Even so, many viewers continue to express concerns whenever we feature the Atom 2 on the channel.

So today we're putting the new Potensic Atom 3 to the test to see if Potensic has improved the signal display and overall connection experience.

Did Potensic address one of the most talked-about concerns from Atom 2 pilots? Let's find out.

If you enjoy honest drone reviews, real-world testing, and helping us evaluate the latest drone technology, be sure to subscribe and join us for future Atom 3 coverage.

As always we want to thank everyone for watching and for taking the time to comment.  We appreciate each and everyone of you.  God bless and have a great week!!!
