Here I review the Atom 3 drone from Potensic. I review the video quality, do a flight time test, demonstrate the return to home accuracy, demonstrate the object/subject tracking and talk about the fully autonomous waypoint feature (which doesn't even need a remote connection to work).

Great review, hope you will do a DJI Lito review soon. Cheers

I live in Canada and the Potensic models cost more than the DJI models. Its only in the USA its a cheaper option.

The CMOS sensor, like the Sony one, does a good job. The image is stunning.

Potensic Atom a un bon potentiel, courge a eux, la qualité du produit est bonne d'après les utilisateurs

I like your review. You did a real world use of the drone. Even the crash. That is what happen to my Atom 2 on the first flight. Crashed into a limd taking off. Mine did not break anything. It fell about 20ft. 2 years later, still flying.

Oh yeah... Potensic has come a long long way in terms of flight performance, dynamics and control. Well done, Potensic. As for Video? They make it painfully obvious that they are NOT a camera company at heart. Progress, sure, but they have a long, long way to go. PS These little drones are noticeably quieter with the standard battery. Obviously, the substantial payload increase of the plus batteries gets the motors working a lot harder.

I just received mine off Amazon. It took nearly a month to get and was $469.

As the Atom 3 and the DJI Lito X1 fall short on approval for the USA market let's not even discuss that issue. But - basically across the board (regardless of combo package) the DJI Lito X1 is about CAD$80 more. Your review should clench the deal for not buying the Atom 3... seems they punched high but fell short again on programming. Your overview is a well worth view. Thanks.

But does it let you override the civil airspace ceiling? Are the master airscrew props compatable? Are the dji mini ND filters easy to attach without spoofing the gimbal?

@S200. 2 months ago

And to think I paid the same amount for the Atom 2 last year. The extra battery life will come in handy.

@m-ots-w1 3 months ago

Hmmm, I wonder if it’ll be as easy to unlock as the atom 2. A bit scary to fly 2,000 meters up, though...

@Strohhutangler 3 months ago

Hi. Is there a cpl filter for the drone? I own the atom 4k and bought some filter. The same like for the dji mini... Would be nice if they are the same. But i think not.

@Gerryg1953 12 days ago (edited)

I think unless you have something in particular in mind 38 min. is pretty good. You didnt mention anything about opstacle avoidance though. Sorry went back and seen that you had said no obstacle avoidance.

@alainboyer7891 3 months ago

if Potensic wants to be competitive, their price should be reviewed!!!

@sundukibrahim2944 3 months ago

Very good review. But choosing between Potensic Atom 3 and Dji Lito x1 ( with obstacle avoidance) I’ll choose the latter

@Ucantcme-f7n 3 months ago

Is it better than any Dji drone as per same price range

@jasonbrown467 3 months ago

Does the controller support any kind of video out such as HDMI or DisplayPort altern whatever over USB c?

@stevedawson3863 3 months ago

Rumors say not legal in USA. Anyone know??

Fly More Plus sold out everywhere. That's the only one I would buy anyway because we don't have an issue with over 250 g if you're flying part 401 or recreational waiver in the States. I really don't need any of it I've got a mini 5 Pro but are 3s and a Mavic 4 Pro. I just buy it cuz I'm curious how potential is doing but I'll wait for the plus combo batteries
