20:20 what I love most is a comment pointed out during the last turn. Jaiden said he was going to show Crowler everything he learned from school. And then proceeded to use the exact same move he used to get into the school. Which metaphorically means that Jaiden just told Crowler he didn’t learn a single thing and still won.

When their first duel happened i had no idea they would duel for a second time nor their second duel would be one of the best and most emotional duels in GX

The speech Chronos/Crowler gives about how its the problem kids that leave an impact on the teachers always stuck with me, after he gets some development in the seven stars arc he always looked out for his students and had their best interests in mind. He really went from a slice of life villain to a great role model.

Crowler really had wonderful character development as the series went on. Thanks TGS!

The censors when he says A*r Neos are SENDING me

Edit: apparently I've started a war

Canonically: Jaden didn’t start with Wildheart. He only added it in at the time he had his first duel with Bastion. (Jaden himself confirms this)

I just noticed know that crawler “graduated” 3 soldiers into golems showing that he became a better teacher nurturing weak students into strong ones

"He Should Not Be Named" Neos

Despite GX usually mistreating it's side characters, I really appreciated that they took time to give focus episodes to them in the middle of Season 4, and having the final one before Darkness took over be a focus on Crowler was an amazing choice. One of my favorite episodes from that season.

Jaden not setting hero Signal was actually a normal move. Back them the game was very different, and committing all your backrow was usually a misplay.

Ah yes, Jaiden's ace in the hole, Elemental Hero REDACTED Neos.

I think is worth mentioning that Jaden really knew Crowler's plan seeing how he summoned both Sparkman and WildHeart: both on their highest stat position; he knew his teacher would manage to summon at least one Ancient Gear Golem, and planned accordingly.
If ANY of those two were in a different position, then Jaden would have lost.

2:17 I’d like to point out that not playing it immediately could be a bit of caution on Jaden’s part, given that he’s playing an unknown deck. Worst case scenario, Draining Shield is removed or negated and Avion dies without Hero Signal out, he resummons Avion with the Monster Reborn, then places the Hero Signal. Avion dies again, he activates Hero Signal and plays The Warrior Returning Alive, then activates Polymerization. He had double graveyard recursion, meaning he could afford to feel out his opponent for a turn. Plus, he didn’t know Crowler had hand attack, so as far as he knew the two recursion cards in his hand were untouchable.

Dr. Crowler the perfect Mid-Boss opponent; overestimates themselves and underestimates the opponent

3:31 it’s kinda insane how broken and powerful Confiscation is despite how old it is!

Jaden and Crowler second duel is my favourite duel across the whole show. To me, it really felt like the beginning of the end, seeing how everyone has grown such as Crowler and seeing Jaden use the same end move he did in the first episode. So many references across the whole series here . And for everyone here, this is the last proper time we can truly see their character growth, except for Jaden. Jaden hasn't really ended his character development yet (that would be in his duel with Yugi) so him replaying his Flare Wingman play while is a great nod to the 1st episode, it kinda like showing how Jaden hasn't reached the pinnacle of his development just yet.

Can’t wait for a whole month of Dual Analysis videos. Hope you cover some of the ones I requested

5:38 late fun fact: this isn't even really a hindsight thing

IIRC in the sub, Crowler mentions that he knows of the HERO deck, meaning that he should know how it plays and that it's a fusion reliant deck...so Poly should've bee a no brainer

Dr Crowler definitely grew throughout the 4 seasons from someone who hates Jayden to someone who cares for the guy he saw grow into an incredible duelist
