Always liked how this duel made Crowler a lot more respectable, especially with the “if you want my students you’ll have to get through me”

I love how Jaden never has Unknown cards in his hand, because his plays burn through so much card advantage that they can't afford it

when TGS is about to win a duel, he doesn't say it. He instead says "It's your turn, and the penultimate turn of the duel"

It's really impressive how Camula is reaching through the show to steal TGS's soul by not revealing all of her cards.

Ah yes, GX. The series that just casually drops the notion that vampires existed in the Yugioh universe and then promptly sweeps it under the rug once Camula is defeated. 🤣

I'd like to jokingly believe that Camula was unable to gather enough cards to make a 40 card deck, so she just made two copies of cards to get her incomplete deck of 38 to 40.
Because the cards were illegal copies, it's possible they were slightly different in size (like Arkana did with his Dark Magician vs Atem). But because she only recently made them, she didn't learn how to prevent herself from drawing them, so she kept having them stick to her Vampire Werewolf card, whenever she drew her opening hand.
Since her duel disk would NOT register the two fake cards if played, she had to always keep them in her hand. This whole story is why Camula ALWAYS had two cards from the start that she never played.

Crowler was the absolute GOAT of the duel. After initially being portrayed as one of those asshole, elitist school teachers, he shows a side which I’m glad carried out the rest of the series in which despite his prejudice against Slifer Reds, he genuinely cares for his student’s as any teacher would and his final speech to them in both the sub and dub is admittedly quite touching.

The mysterious 2 cards against Zane are briefly revealed for only a few frames, but you can see them. It's a Despair from the Dark and a Vampire Bat. They're shown very quickly when she summons back Cyber End Dragon.

I think it's pretty clear that Zane would have been able to pull a win had he summoned his Barrier Dragon. He was the top student, even more so than Jaden, and was confident he could do something in one or two turns.

I would like to know if there is any canonical battles where Zane didn’t open up with 2 or more cyber dragons in his starting hand. His opening hands are god tier every duel

I love how zane scolded syrus for using power bond while the opponent had a face down, and yet everytime he uses it during the series except for the first time, the rival had a face down

Kind of a misplay at the start of Jaden's first turn, he could have normal summoned his Bubbleman to draw two cards, then used his Polymerisation to fuse into tempest

The duel that made Crowler respectable (even though he took the L).

The fact Jaden added in Shining Flare Wingman to add a bit of light to the dark tone of the duels just makes me smile. There's a reason he is my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh protagonist despite the fact he probably has the weakest deck out of any protag.

1:58 she didn’t cheat she watched a deck profile😂😂

16:52 Jaden should've summoned Bubbleman to draw two cards. There was no reason not to.

I'd love to see a Kaiba vs Zigfried breakdown. That duel was probably Kaiba at his best. You can fit Joey vs Zigfried in there too if you can and want, but it's the Kaiba duel I want.

8:26 Crowler could’ve won that duel if he set Ancient Gear Beast to attack Vampire Bat. Beast negates the effect of any destroyed monster and Vampire Bat’s effect only works when it’s destroyed, just like Zombie Werewolf. Not only would he had been able to deal more damage attacking the bat but he would’ve canceled that attack buff Vampire Bat was giving out. When Camula uses her field spell she had to rely on Vampire Bat’s ability to stay on the field and Zombie Werewolf can’t use its ability when it’s destroyed by card effect, only by battle and with the effect of the field spell Camula couldn’t summon monsters or set spells/traps leaving her wide open and allowing Crowler to summon Ancient Gear Golem next turn landing the finishing blow

I love these GX duels where they open every piece of a Fusion monster AND the proper Fusion spell.

17:15 Perhaps the two mysterious cards in Camula’s hands where a ritual monster and a ritual spell card that she couldn’t use because she didn’t have enough materials to preform the summon. Like Zera the Mant
