If you’re been around this channel for a while, you’ll know there are a lot of mechanics and archetypes konami has printed that haven’t been quite up to snuff. In response, Konami has gone back and released cards specifically designed to make these mechanics or decks more powerful. Today, we’re going over some of the most successful broken cards they’ve had to make to get around the downsides of previous mechanics. For the record, we’re not just looking at busted support cards, but rather, cards that specifically negate the weaknesses of a deck or mechanic

I still remember when Neos Fusion came out. It just made the deck so much more fun. Now that a couple new Masked Heros are coming out, it’s pretty much the same feeling. I’ll never stop playing HEROs. Relevant or not.

Malefic Territory is such a silly card. It's literally a full archetype rewrite, showing how flawed the whole thing was from the start.

It's kinda funny how the way they "fixed" Malefics was by not making them Malefics anymore.

I would replace the assault mode card with the nordic link Gullveig, that card tried the impossible to carry the entire archetype of disjointed nordics on her back alone.

As a Duel Links player, Neos Fusion is still frustratingly popular. Between it and Sunrise’s Miracle Fusion search, it’s one of the main reasons I run Necrovalley.

Love the videos, very informative. Stopped watching and playing Yu-Gi-Oh! For about 15 years and just recently got back into it and seeing these types of videos are helping me learn about a lot that I missed and learning more about archetypes and such. Keep up the good work

Honorable mention to Red Gaia who can search Soul Resonator who helps get your non tuner or even Crimson Resonator. Aside from that it also makes the OG RDA's battle effect viable in the modern game.

Link Vrains 1 did a lot of these kinds of things. They introduced me to Magical Musketeers, and I used to play Traptrix pre-sera too. Musketeer Max and Traptrix Sera as link ones turned the decks on their head and gave them such ridiculous instant power. They were AWESOME.

I'll never stop saying Naturia Camellia is the Naturia's real Boss Monster. Those flowers do so much for the archetype, making any Naturia with an tribute cost worth playing, and having acces to any level 3 or lower naturia thanks to special summoning a Naturia Antjaw from your graveyard. ❤

indeed, what makes Gemini strong are the supports around it, however, no matter how broken the spell trap supports are if konami won't give us a gemini monsters with decent effects then this deck would always perform worse than the others like Union, Spirit, Flip. (shout out to edison though where gemini peak there )
