I always loved the fact that Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner is always nervous and jittery. It's a nice detail that people don't ever point out

"Iron Man is basically invincible in the new movies"

I don't think so.

Thor being a murderous psychopath is probably the most accurate thing to norse mysthology in the entire mcu

When you mentioned the mandatory marvel shirtless scene I started freaking out because I've been saying "mandatory marvel shirtless scene" for years now.

i love how his voice just sounds like a mixture of bored groaning and awkwardness.

its perfect.

"This is the only one without a post-credits scene."

cough

Padme only liked Thor because he could stand New Mexico Sand.

Marcus: “So today, we’re gonna be nice.”

Also Marcus: “So that’s the end of Phase 1, and I think about 25% of that experience was good”

I would honestly be scared to recommend you a movie if I met you

“Modern Iron Man is invincible”
You jinxed it

If Marvel made the ending of The First Avenger into a 3 hour long film where Steve just walks around adjusting to the modern world, i'd actually go watch it.

I love how banner is scared of Loki and Loki is scared of hulk

TBF, Thor's arc is fantastic, he goes from spoiled, isolated jerk to humanized, emotional bro dude lol

“He killed a dog.” NEW CHALLENGER! JOHN WICK!

Natalie Portman’s character in Thor is basically Padme in Star Wars

Watching the first Avengers makes me realise just how much Marvel fumbled Bruce Banner in these films. Mark Ruffalo does such a great job in that film as this jittery, nervous wreck, who nonetheless commands this huge authourity because of how scared people are of the Hulk. I love the whole sub-plot of S.H.I.E.L.D covertly trying to keep him contained and under their control and Bruce having none of it. He's arguably the most compelling character in the film and it's an amazing introduction for Ruffalo.

Only for him to then be a comedy character in every other film. It just sucks. Mark Ruffalo deserves a lot better and I really hope he gets to give a great dramatic performance like he did in Avengers Assemble.

Okay, I have to disagree with the "Mandatory Marvel Shirtless Scene" for Captain America 1. That scene where we saw Chris Evans in the pod right after he got the serum actually served a purpose other than generic fanservice.

I like how the cliché shirtless scene got flipped on it's head in Endgame...

I love how he said everyone and their mom went to see avengers
it's funny cause it's the only marvel movie I saw with my mom

7 years later and I still come back to watch this all the time. ☺️
