I'm not a Ford guy, but I'm loving this old truck. The older I get, the less I care about which badge is on the grill.

"it's 11 o'clock and I haven't packed or done anything yet".  Things Dave's say the night before leaving for every trip. Hahaha.

I grew up a Chevy guy....now I can appreciate most trucks.

thank you for being the one youtube guy who uses eye, hearing protection and gloves when cutting material.

I really like how you stick to talking through the process of what you are doing and don’t insert loud music while you are doing the work. I end up watching the mountain bike videos, because of that, even though I don’t give a chit about mountain biking.

Excellent work Dave 🤘😎
Great ideas to get the tent on, and keep the bed space useable, that Firetruck is a killer build man

Although I am a GM guy,  the sixth generation for trucks will always be my favorite vehicles.  Absolutely gorgeous virtually indestructible, and just perfection in a truck in my opinion.
Beautiful rig brother good luck.

The old timer knew how to use the side steps on his truck, that's why the seat is in good shape.  Most people just slide out of the seat and bust up the foam, once the foam fails, the fabric is counting it's days.

So glad I found this channel!!
And that’s my dream shop!

Old fords are rad! Dave is rad!

Your dually repairs were an investment. Totally agree with spending the cash.  The old Ford looks/runs great. Your friend John seems like a great guy. Got a good truck. Awesome video this week Dave.  Thank you for sharing with us.

I like the direction this truck is taking. You are keeping the cool, pretty original look, while making it solid and very functional. This is far more rad than if you would have put a massive lift, an LS swap, a twin stick, etc. I look forward to you overlanding in it.

Good episode, Dave. Nice job on getting to the airport and stuff. Enjoyed watching you problem solve the rack.

Thanks for the video brother ! Had a terrible week and this is just what I needed. Cold brew and some dirt head!

I love seeing old trucks still getting put to use.  I like the upgrades and would really enjoy seeing some mountain camping trips in it!  I agree with a previous comment that a period correct shell would look great, but it's hard to argue with the utility of this setup.

Super cool!  I love your adventures, fabrication, just doing cool stuff.  And you are generally on time..... maybe, not really.  Keep up the projects and everything you do!

Another great vid - really cool to see you in the shop and your “getting ready” process. Always appreciate your content Dave!

Should put little rubber pads under stuff like that fridge and bed box all that vibration will tear stuff up. Sick build!

I’ve been seeing a lot of YouTubers going the camper shell route. An older vintage fiberglass topper would be such a throwback on the Fire Truck. But I will say the modern RTT turned out super cool!

Your truck is awesome, the stance wheel and tire package and now fitted with the custom made rack. She’s a beaut Clarke . That’s a keeper. Cheers 🇨🇦
