Sorry Metal Sonic. I wasn’t familiar with your game.

"He's already in Neo form bruv"
Cell being in his perfect form

as both a Dragon Ball fan and a Sonic fan, they somehow lowballed Metal Sonic.

Cell should not have won the speed category when Sonic characters have multiple Incalculable speed feats.

moving in Infinite realms like in seconds, including White Space, null Space, Cyberspace, the world of the Arabian Nights, and more.

able to travel and restore time just by running through it, which Sonic could do in the game where Metal Sonic was introduced, which was the third main line Sonic game ever made.

able to keep up with the Flash in an official crossover and having been stated to be at the level as Flash even years before that crossover

22:40 this is the moment where your favourite character loses but the way he loses was so smooth and cool way that you can't really stay mad about it and instead you like the character that beat your favourite character now kinda moment 😂😅

There was absolutely no way cell was going to beat metal sonic, not only did they nerf metals speed by using a destruction feat as a speed feat they also had to amp cell up by giving him his universe statement even though he caps a solar. Metal never needed his super form just his Neo form was enough.

It's genuinely crazy how the lack of flashy adaptations causes sonic characters to look weaker than what they actually are

It is fair that Metal starts as Neo Metal as Cell gets to start with Perfect Cell.

I love both series and yeah..Metal wins..superior power and copy ability. DB is amazing and appears stronger due to being flashier and having more all out brawls while the threats in Sonic are more nebulous and context heavy.

Meanwhile one of the big threats to SSB Goku was literally someone who originally could only stop time for 1/10th a second which is leagues worse than chaos control time stops.
No surprise here metal won.

one thing I liked about this match was the music: normally they have the BGM be an even stylistic blend of both characters, but in this one the style favors whoever's currently got the momentum. and once Metal Sonic copies Cell, it stays on him, only interrupting long enough to say "ka me ha me ha" right along with the two fighters

I love how every reaction judges Neo metal for being metal when cell starts out in his perfect form.

As a DB and Sonic Fan, DB got outscaled as a whole the moment IDW made Solaris canon to both the games and comics. Solaris was multiversal entity that can erase realities. Super Forms in the Sonic series are immune to EVERYTHING include reality erasure.

Power wise, Metal scales directly to sonic, who needed super sonic to take out Perfect Chaos back in 2002 in Sonic adventure 2. in Sonic Generations, baseline sonic took out Perfect Chaos unempowered. Metal Sonic has beaten a stronger version of THAT sonic recently and Sonic gets faster as time goes on. They lowballed his speed.

Fun final fact: The real reason Metal loses is 1.) The sonic team has figured out to only send people to fight him that he's already copied, so he learns nothing new from them, and 2.) They jump the hell outta him because he wins a 1 v 1 everytime.

Metal had three powers over cell in this, Metal Overlord, Super Neo, and Copycat, and he only needed any one of these to win. Metal just wanted to Aura farm honestly.

About the speed thing. They used Goku being in base form as a way to upscale Cell, but failed to remember that Goku during that time was FAR stronger than Super Perfect Cell, while he was in base form. So, that being said, the speed category is incorrect. Not to mention, Metal Sonic would scale to Sonic who plenty infinite to immeasurable speed feats. Metal didn't even need to transform, he outscales Cell in every category.

The animation went crazy on this one. Devil Artemis really went out with a bang with this being his final animated fight in Death Battle.  I can't wait for you to check out some of their other battles. Simon the Digger vs Kyle Rayner is considered by many in the community to be one of their best yet 🔥

Metal Sonic: Go to sleep, I got it from here on out.

I genuinely wish they made it infinity ultron vs neo metal, that wouldve been so much more fair, they left out even more feats from metal that sonic has done. Neo metal rn outscales current dragon ball super, this was an insane wash for a mu BUT it was amazing and we love devil artemis for his work

Wait.....you said they are not fully wrong but there is no way. Okay.....how does cell beat a multiverse being? No one seems to know the answer

18:08 and cell is on his perfect form

Yeah sonic is just that op especially when sonic enter hyper form because that's just beyond crack

Row saw he was already Neo and knew what was up lmao peak ball knowledge
