The spot light it a Lucus Square 8. The red colour Jack is original to the car. All the detail in the car would match to a 1968/9 model if it was sold in England.
It still has the period accessories, and the stone guard mounts on the front , they supported a metal stone mesh cage for long trips in the out back , the rear window demiste kit r, the after market rear stereo shelf speakers wiper spoilers to give extra down force in wet weather, the eye level brake light kit , all hard to find today , but was all available at the local parts Store ( no supercheap auto then )
i wish we could find them this rustfree in the uk i think your car is later than 1963 has it has a later dash with black faced clocks earlier cars in uk had white faced clocks, i have a 1965 mk 1 which has white faced clocks also your car has dash mounted fresh air vents so be a 1967or 1968 car. looking forward to more updates on this car
I missed the first like by 1 lol. The tunnel is cool. I've always loved driving through tunnels especially when I drove semi big trucks. That Triumph looks intact and pretty much all original and the gold mine factor is that it actually has all 4 hubcaps!!!! Usually there's always only 3. That is a gem. Can't wait to see the vid series on this one. The "outer ring things" are called beauty rings. I was expecting that spare tire well to be rotted. I'm impressed how the locks and trunk and hood mechanisms work so well, but before you keep using them, I'd lube them up first just in case springs and metal are brittle to "soften them up" to avoid anything from snapping. We call those leather straps, "suicide straps". How did you find that gem? Awesome score.
if your car was an australia build car i would not know but english built car the i think they be interchangeable also later mk1 had a different steering wheel 1963 would be the first year manufacture in the uk
