In addition to my tour of the Birith Motor Museum, I visited the Collections Centre and Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust during my visit of the PistonHeads Sunday Service this week. This is an in-depth tour around forgotton British concept cars and prototypes, including a collection of Jaguars that they are moving away from in their upcoming rebrand...

That Rover CCV and MGF (TVR) prototype are both stunning.

Incredble collection. It deserves at least 5X the space it has.

As a true jag enthusiast I love them all

6:23 - that Rover CCV looks incredibly good! Like Honda Legend Coupe before Legend Coupe.
16:23 - "They say the paint alone is worth about 20k pounds" - Ah! That british humor xD

Priceless Jags - unlike the direction they are heading

The original XF concept and production car was truly a beautiful shape - how Jaguar squandered that resurgence is beyond belief.

That F-Type concept is absolutely gorgeous!! Jaguar, you really need to make that!!! I've got 2 Jags, and if you made that I'd definitely have 3!!

Very nostalgic. I worked on a number of those project cars in my time at Pressed Steel in the 60s. A whole different world back then of course.

I am in awe. I so wish we had a museum like this in North America.

Such an amazing collection of cars, so interesting to see these concepts and pre production cars, especially loved seeing those Jag concepts :face-red-heart-shape:

The front of the Rover CCV looks like a mixture of a Renault Alpine A610 and a Citroen Xantia. The rear lights looks a bit like those seen on a Peugeot 406.
It really looks beautiful

I’ve been coming here for 2 years now when my dad takes his car to the car shows here and I love coming here and seeing the different cars here because they all move around all the time because of the workshop in the JLR museum.

I love those driving through the ford videos

9:38 as an American I've never seen one of these before in my life, let alone this concept version. Absolutely amazing looking car

What a great video. I could spend days walking around that collection. If you ever get chance you have to visit Louwman Museum in The Hague. It does have plenty of concepts, but what it does so well is show the evolution, both failures and successes of engineers and designers of the automobile.

This is the X600. I was on this programme when I was at Jaguar.
It was their 2nd attempt at an F-Type. The first being the XJ41/42.
It was scheduled to have a supercharged 3.0 V6 in it, which would also have gone in an X-Type R.
