I visited the Great British Jaguar Day at Bicester Motion to get one more glimpse at the Jaguar Type 00 concept. As the Type 01 starts breaking its camoflague and becoming an all-too-near reality, I walk around the history of the brand at the show and discuss what's coming next for Jaaaag.

Jaguar Press: Oh no...our new concept car has been received horribly by the public.
Jaguar Engineers: Paint it red...it'll be fine.

Jaguar: "We're going to release the ugliest, weirdest-looking car of the last 30 years"
Ferrari: "Holda my beer..."

i am sorry but an event like this with all these fantastic cars that made Jaguar so famous for decades and here we are stuck looking at an electric brick..........

That's not a controversial object, that's magenta fridge with wheels and headlights.

I think Jaguar need something special to win back customers and I honestly don't think this is it

The Jaguar Type 00 concept looks like a masterpiece compared to the Ferrari Luce

The rebranding of Jaguar… RIP.

Thanks for the Jaaaaag video! Some beautiful classics on show… the rebranded jag has a lot of nostalgia to live up too. Glad you enjoyed your day 🤩

Why pay that price for an electric? The idea of buying a jag or Ferrari is for the engine.

Aesthetics matter. The reason why vintage Ferraris are so high-priced is because they're art that you can drive. This kind of crap is just not good enough.

I've done some work at some of JLR's facilities, I've seen the 00/01 cars driving around. What's more interesting is some other cars which appear to have a RR/LR front end, but are clearly saloon cars, they're all heavily disguised to look like estates.

Brave owning a Jaaaaag these days only people of a certain persuasion allegedly own this marque.

Awesome Jaguar content!! My father owned several Jags throughout a thirty year period, and he absolutely loved every one of them. That new concept is starting to look a lot better to me, but especially now, after the release of the Ferrari Luce.

Looks like two concrete paving slabs, painted red.

One car that wasn't represented at that show was the last version of the XJ12. This car was built on the X300 chassis but had the 6.0 LTR V12 engine. Very rare, this was the end of a production V12 engine from Jaguar...The X305 .

The Type 00 is the ultimate in lazy design; a brick with headlights drawn on it.

Unique colour translates to faded red Vauxhall Astra Postman van.

Soooo... They wanted to erase all this cool heritage. "Delete Ordinary", "Break Moulds" and "Copy Nothing"

Industry data from the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association shows that between January and April 2026, Jaguar recorded only 1 new car registration across Europe. The data do not show whether the buyer got it for free.
