Cam is a rare YouTuber in that he actually considers that the people he is doing videos on are actual human beings. I really appreciate this about his videos. 😊🙏🏻

Sadly there are a lot of male TV presenters, actors and celebrities charged with all sorts of charges/convictions and their careers continue unscathed.

The detective who ignored the CPS and prioritised the Caroline Flack case over a shooting and a high-risk missing-person case really disturbed me. Whatever people think about the documentary, I’m really glad that this was exposed.

Three things can be true. You can have absolute sympathy for Caroline being hounded by the media and the police regarding what happened between her and Lewis. You can be disgusted by Caroline dating Harry when he was 17 since he was a child. You can believe that Caroline should have been punished for what she did to Lewis, especially if you have been a victim of DV yourself.

I think we can absolutely hold caroline accountable for her behaviour whilst also have sympathy and empathy for what she endured with the press and battling mental health. Both can be true.

Not long before,Ant from Ant and Dec was drunk driving and injured 3 people including a kid. He didn't get half the abuse and his career carried on.I just knew she'd end her life, you could see she was broken. Even after she did it, they wouldn't leave her alone. The hatred coming from normal people was just as bad. Disgusting

That The Sun still exists is an absolute indictment on this country. People should be in prison for this and much more.

It's mad that a youtuber can have a faaaaar more balanced and empathetic coverage over difficult topics  like this as opposed to the vampires in the mainstream media. Give Cam an honourary degree in responsible journalism!

I know in advance that this is going to be a difficult watch and that Cam will handle it with the most empathy and insight.

The media are arseholes, my uncle died at war and he was a local hero, the day before his funeral the media kept knocking on our door trying to get as much info as possible, we had to get the police involved to get them to leave, this is why I hate the media

The British tabloid media is an utter disgrace. They love nothing more than tearing women's- and it is mostly women's- lives apart. From the phone hacking scandal to Hillsborough we've seen they don't give a fuck about victims or the truth or integrity, all they want is the profit a juicy story brings. It doesn't seem to matter how many times they are called out or fined, they just keep doing it. They are utterly without morals or basic human decency and they never change. They will continue to try and rip the social fabric of this countries apart for money and you're right, it is getting worse not better. Anyway, thank you for approaching the subject in a sensitive and measured way Cam.

The Sun should be held accountable. What a disgrace.

Hello friends, obviously a deeper topic today. Watched this doc on the day it came out and wanted to share my own thoughts on it. TW as a lot of dark themes are discussed in this one. Hopefully you enjoy my coverage of it, tried to really be as empathic as possible in this when possible. I've also dropped some links for anyone that is going through anything discussed in this doc within the description. A lot of the lines are free to call as well.

The Sun… why are we surprised. How are they still publishing

36:25 nah. That’s weird. Just because something happened she has to be remorseful and pay for it every moment for the rest of her life? She can’t ever smile again because of something that happened weeks ago? That’s weird. People’s expectations of the accused are weird.

@27:00 Dv charges can't be dropped by the victim anymore for a reason, and women fought for years for that kind of protection. The police may have a bad rep for many things but changing the law on Dv was a hard won battle worth fighting for and it is really important to remember the lifesaving protections that is meant to provide x

Flack was clearly very mentally ill and was horribly hounded by the press. But I feel like they've slightly disrespected her victim with a lot of this doc. Saying things like "Oh, he just thought he was being attacked, but it was an accident" "he didn't have to go to hospital" " he didn't press charges" - they're all things that get said about abuse victims too often, especially men.

That coupled with the fact she dated Harry Styles while he was 17 and she was in her 30s.

Watching this after the news that her brother had also committed just adds another level of heartbreak. Their poor mother 💔
