26:40 When I'm watching a 40k ranking video but it gets interrupted by the cursed Wazdakka model that rotates at a 360° angle and plays royalty-free music at loud volumes.

I nearly had a heart attack in the Ork section, but damn was it funny

Not even the comments prepared me for that Ork melody

Few things in life are more satisfying than screaming "waaaaaaggghhhh" in someone's face as you send the war wagon in.

I started Warhammer this year with Sisters as my first army. I agree, they are deceptively hard to paint and build, especiallyfor a beginner. I love them, but it has taken me over 6 months to paint 1000 points. Nonetheless, if I was building any other army, I don't think I would have enjoyed so much this journey!

My first ever Warhammer product was gifted to me by my late dad, it was a whole Seraptek heavy construct, and ever since I’ve shoved that big boy into all my lists. Thanks dad.

It's obviously Admech. More of us. More of us. Serve the Omnissiah.

Being Brand new to the game... Putting the name of the Faction over the picture on the tier list would have been massive

nearly 40 years of 40k (started 1987).  I tell anyone interested, the following;

start with a single squad of troops and a commander  - that's it, nothing more.  it doesn't matter which faction.

this keeps the entry for both the game and the hobby simple and without 'hobby guilt'. (I just spent X-thousands $$ - now I must do this thing)

having a smaller model count to begin with, is a better way to enter the hobby side.  having a single squad makes learning the basics far easier. learning more about the faction, makes changing of factions easier, if you didn't dump $$$ on the initial units that were used to learn the game.

Important first-hand experience with the Necrons. While I agree with the author's points, the Necrons are very spiky. It makes them relatively more prone to breaking and rather demanding for transportation. They must be secured inside the box you are bringing them to the game in. It also makes them rather awkward when positioning on the tabletop. For example, because of their claws Wraiths take up about 3 times as much volume as one might have assumed from their base area.

Great video, man. I'm a bit of a veteran but my kids are brand new to the hobby. We're going Raven Guard and Necrons (scaling up in points as they learn).
I can confirm this list is very accurate ^^

Really enjoying hearing you just talk about your thoughts on 40k. I’m relatively new to the hobby, picked up a world eaters combat patrol box a year ago and just been painting my way through it little by little and listen to videos whilst i go and I’m very thankful YouTube algorithm recommended this video. Definitely want to watch more of your stuff ❤

Thank you so much for this video. I'm just getting into the hobby and still haven't found my army, and this is a great video to get a sense of what to choose!

Yeah..music got me. Im starting orks

Out of all the big 40k hobby Youtubers, I have never seen any of them do a ranking/tier list for this topic. I think these kinds of videos are cool

Got here thanks to youtube algorithm. Cool video. Really like with how much passion you are talking about all this stuff. Recently been thinking about actually getting into models side of wh40k, so your video was quite handy.

This was very helpful. I'm still leaning toward Orks for my first army, but i've been debating it. Thanks for the warning that they aren't as easy as everyone makes them out to be

lol woah the music at the ork bike XD

I got chaos knights as my first army 2 months ago and I really didn't struggle with assembly or painting trim, I actually love painting trim but they are so much easier to paint in larger parts then put on separately

Hey, thank you for the video! I'm getting into the hobby and trying to understand what army is my favorite... It is so difficult to choose one!
