They Said F-15 Has Never Lost a Dogfight. Then It Met the RAF Typhoon Over England.

Over the Lake District, England — a routine RAF training flight
was suddenly bounced from behind by two United States Air Force
F-15E Strike Eagles. The American pilots had every advantage:
numbers, surprise, and a combat record of over 100 kills and
zero losses. They expected an easy kill.
They didn't get one.
This is the full story of one of the most surprising — and most
hushed-up — aerial encounters in modern RAF history. How a jet
that was over budget, years late, and widely written off turned
the tables on America's most battle-proven fighter. And what it
revealed about the future of air combat that nobody wanted to
admit.

The ECRS radar has superior passive radar technology and reportedly better for the role of intercept to a dogfight.
