My brother is 40, and has screwed his life up big time. He's now actively talking to a Navy recruiter to get his ass ready for Basic. Navy age cap is 41 years old at the moment. If he doesn't get called Dumbledore or Gandalf, I will be so disappointed lol

77th to japan, "Look can we get this over with quickly my wife is expecting me home soon and I will not hear the end of it if i miss another family holiday."

Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast. Never count out us old bastards. Don't pick a fight with us neither.

That pict of Howling Mad Smith is definitely telling. Unimpressed, disappointed, and saying "that's not the way a Marine would do it it, which is why you failed."

I once heard someone describe America as 50 small countries in a trench coat with the defense budget to fight God and it's so accurate

As a wise man once said, "never half-ass two things instead of whole-assing one thing"

"I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve."

Dad got home after a workday with no breaks, couldn't take a nap, and there was no beer in the fridge. Run for the hills.

December 8th, 1941: congress declares these hands are rated E for everyone.

ROFL! Young lady, Thank You for the belly laugh! "Random Bullshit Extra Task... I'm gonna be your own personal HELL!" That brought back fond memories of my time in the Army.

I’m glad Chelsea likes Nick. He’s a good dude

When I went through basic training I was the third oldest guy there at 25. The oldest was a 32 year old nicknamed " Grandpa", the second oldest was a 6'8" 345 pound 28 year old named" Big Country " and finally my nickname was " plague carrier ". One of our Drill Sgts was only 28 years old and I was commenting about how she was 5 ranks ahead of me and I would probably be asking her out if we weren't in the Army.

Anyways I recommend Operation Paul Bunion, where a tree nearly caused WWIII.

I was in the military and we used to joke that military years were like dog years. Ages you 7 years to every normal year

Probably wouldn't have antiseptics, or advanced plastic surgery if it wasn't for WW1.  They committed the old military mistake of doing too well, so they ended up getting more work.  Fun fact: Hiroo Onoda was the last Japanese soldier to surrender in 1974, in the Philippines.

As a 35 y/o prior marine  current army grunt.... these dudes are my spirit animal

Everyone else: God, it's so hot and humid
77th chads: there's FRESH WATER? I could live here forever!

To put the age thing into context, I joined at 26 and I was older than 1 of my drill sergeants. Most people have joined, done their 3 years, and graduated college by the time I got out of basic.

Exactly. They created the 77th to SOLVE problems, not make them. Prisoners? Hostile non-combatants? The hesitant? Those are problems. But corpses are easy to deal with...

Well, Chelzor. You done set yourself up for his "Chicken Tax" video.

Nic's ads are genuinely funny and fun. I don't mind them as much as so many others, even the other gun-tubers.
