Alice in Wonderland Photo Album
This is a new type of album for me. I watched a tutorial by Paul Ford for an 8 inch album with a binding system I've never seen before. He got the inspiration for this from a 6 inch Crafty Wafty album from 2026 Scrapbooking Day presentation. Paul is based in Wales, England so he uses A4 paper, which is a little bit shorter length wise than US letter size. That limitation made it so even if I used 8 inch paper, I would have to trim it down. Well since I had that extra quarter inch to play with. I too, adjusted the measurements and managed to scrimp out an extra quarter inch. I still ended up having to trim the paper but not as much, and I was able to use full 8 x 8 sheets on the covers both inside and outside. The paper is from Stamperia - I purchased both the decorative papers and the background papers because I knew I wanted six pages rather than four. With 4 pages dedicated to cut outs and the fact that I needed photo mats for the pockets, I ended up borrowing some extra Alice paper from two packages of digital paper that I had purchased previously from both Vectoria Designs and Kreativ Paper Artisan so I'd have decorative paper on all surfaces.
I did cut out some of the journal cards and tags, and have included them in the album to show some areas that can hold extra photos. I also added the two fussy cut pages that I cut only enough to make them fit inside the envelope that I had. The purchaser will be able to cut around the edges of the decorations themselves and glue them into the book wherever they'd like. I debated a long time whether I should put a photo mat there should be a photo, but since this album will hold 5 x 7 photos and smaller, I decided to let the person who gets this album decide what size pictures they want where, so I have included a package of photo corners for that flexibility. Remember, that if you have a photo, but don't like the whole thing, you can always cut it down to the size you want.
The price of this album is $99 plus shipping and handling, if required, in the continental United States. All paper goods are sold as is. If the album featured has been gifted or sold, I can usually make another with the same theme, if the paper is still available. I print most of my paper from digital designs, but some of the album/journals are made with pre-printed paper, and that is often only available for more than a season or two. Prices of new album/journals/folios may be different than this one. Because of the nature of hand crafting, the whimsy of creating, and vagaries of recollection, it is highly unlikely that any new iterations using this paper will be exactly the same as the first one. The album/journal should be unique to you, especially if you've added the extra decorations.
