The Dawn french M&S  ad hits hard this year because Chris Rea, who wrote and sings 'driving home for Christmas', sadly  died  this week.

He didn't pre open a gift, he was tidying away the opened present paper and found his gift.

The guy in the Number one and is Joe Wilkinson, he's a comedian and appears in Eight Out of Ten Cats Does Countdown with Jimmy Carr.  Loved your reactions this year hope you have a wonderful Christmas. Best wishes to you and your family ❤

The Morrison’s ad was to show that they prepare for Christmas all the year round and the amount of work that farmers, grocery stores and bakeries are working around the clock to get everything ready.

The Waitrose advert is slightly riffing off Love Actually, particularly the scene where a man declares his love to his friend’s wife with cards. The wife is also played by Keira Knightley.

“Cooking for someone is love” - reached that stage of life where my young adult children (all boys) come to mine for Christmas and the three of them take over the kitchen and produce a Christmas feast of joy and love - greatest present ever. The smiles, cooperation, laughter and joy under way fills my heart ❤ The fact that it is delicious is a bonus, the process is the greatest present ever.

Phil Phil is played by Joe Wilkinson, who always has me in tears with his daft appearances on '8 out of 10 cats does Countdown'.  Have a great Christmas all xx

they were leeks, not bananas.

Merry Christmas from Yorkshire...

Bless you JJ, you're a big softie, Merry Christmas 🎉

Merry Christmas, JJ!

I actually think the Morrison advert is very special we forget how much hard work other people do so we can have a good Christmas Farmers work hard all year round so we can all eat.   Also I feel like the Argos advert works with the older generation and not so much the younger generation because years ago when we were children Argos had a giant catalogue and the toys were at the back of the book children would often circle items they wanted for Christmas and I'm sure younger view don't know about this because the book no longer exists.

Boots - used to be known as Boots the Chemist is a health and beauty retailer and pharmacy chain. It was bought out by Walgreens but is now independent again.

Wishing you a very merry Christmas too.

The woman in the M&S ad is Dawn French, a very popular comedic actress for decades, known mostly for the series Vicar of Dibley, and her comedy double-act with Jennifer Saunders.
Have a look for more of the Waitrose ads, they filmed a few shorts with Keira and "Phil" (comedian Joe Wilkinson) that weren't in the long ad.

Merry Christmas, JJ.

Well you may not get the gold medal for observation and listening skills, but I still enjoyed the reaction.😂

that man who stuck his head out of the car at the end of the M&S advert is Tom Kerridge as famous chef that does food for M&S  and the Lady is Dawn French from the Vicar of Dibley and she is one half of French and Saunders.  Yes she is very funny

Yeah, Merry Christmas man.  🎄🎉:goodvibes:

Merry Christmas JJ

Merry christmas mate
