Very informative, very practical, and a very helpful video when you speak of the details of the head of each tripod. Also, to see the wind overtake your gear. Now I'm thinking of getting a heavier tripod. Thanks for posting.

Look at the view count climb! This is a great video with lots of good info for media folks.
Keep up the reviews. Is there a way you could review without needing to buy new hardware? Have you considered tech events? It would be a good way to challenge filming off-site too.
Maybe review items more people get their hands on daily like game controllers. I’m sure you got a few if these lying around. Just some ideas to consider!

In really windy conditions you should hang some weight on the center column hook. That would have prevented you camera falling over on the Ulanzi.

I think the new TreeRoot Lite is a closer comparison these days, but for me, the Zero takes it hands down:
- PeakDesign - 39.4cm folded, 153cm max height, 1.3kg - as stable as the Zero
- Zero - 42.3cm folded, 156cm max height, 1.14kg - 18kg load capacity (5kg on head)
- TreeRoot Lite - 47.2cm folded, 153cm max height, 1.3kg - 40kg load capacity (5kg on head)

The Zero and PeakDesign look fine on a 10L sling or 25L backpack, the TreeRoot ones stick out just a bit too much to become a chore to bring them.

With all due respect (i have the PD Carbon Fiber and Treeroot). the Falcam is vastly better. The only advantage to the PD is the small difference in size / weight. The PD is not near as steady, slower than the Falcam and the head is less convenient. For all those reasons, I never use the PD. It needs a new home.

Can you put a geared head on the Peak Design tripod?

I have peak design but in order to use arca Swiss you need to remove screws and then it seems to not be stable.

Also can you tell me how easy it is to change the treeroot head to a video head?

And can you tell me what the screw hole is in the head of the treeroot one?

I don’t like that the peak design doesn’t have a pan

Amazing how I'm looking for a relatively light, quick, versatile tripod for my R.E. photography work...and here's your video.

And I've done the "ghetto" camera raise technique hundreds of times - especially for crowd work or when i need just a bit of elevation but it's a no-fly zone or client hadn't ordered drone shots.

Do you recommend the Peak Design Carbon Travel Tripod or Ulanzi Zero F38 Quick Release Travel Tripod 3131 ? I be using it with Leica M , Leica Q343
And I do have Hasselblad X2D
