Your Favorite Pen Says A LOT About You (oddly specific)

We all have our favorite pens and art supplies we like to use. So in this video I will be exposing every type of artist based on their favorite pens and pencils. And I bet we have all met these kind of artists, so this should be pretty accurate! For example we will be going through ballpoint pen, fineliner, marker and digital stylus artists and so many more! Keep in mind these are just silly general stereotypes, so this video is not meant to attack anyone personally! :D

Comment down below your favorite pen! ✏️

I'm also a mechanical pencil user. No normal pencils anymore, I need that precision with mechanical pencils. My car eates them :(

I was expecting the black brushpen one to have a "You have chosen Kim Jung Gi as your one and only greatest mentor and anchor towards perfection, therefore you haven't drawn a sketch in 4 years in favor of freehanding everything with ink."

As a ballpoint person artist, idgaf if it's a office supply

How could you forget the OG we all started with CRAYONS 🖍 😢

as a fountain pen user, I have to say we vary from people who have zero life and have fountain pens as their personality, to people who genuinely care for their supplies so much they're able to pass it on to their great grandchildren with the pens intact

As a consecutive pen user being trapped in school in an endless torture prison having only a pen to sketch, I can confirm I have met the legendary pen god after using the pen as a main drawing medium for 5 years (it randomly not working time to time is SUCH PAIN ACTUALLY)

As a fountain pen user, flipping it over to get thinner lines is the best.

5:37 For my mechanical pencil artists, I MUST tell you about the Uni Kurutoga because it TURNS THE LEAD as you write/draw, keeping it sharp!!! GAME CHANGER

I personally like to use a multicolor pen because it lets me use a bunch of different colors without having to carry a bunch of pens around everywhere I go, plus it makes it easier to color code my characters.

I'm watching this while being a calm af mechanical pencil user-

My dad used to get 4H or 6H pencils for schoolwork...teachers HATE that. You rarely have to sharpen them, but it's hard to read the work.

Getting into the video: "Okay, it probably just gonna be the funny one, nothing to serious."
Two minutes in: "How did she know I was drawing a whole page of mushrooms with fineliner, now I feel existential paranoia of being watched."

Was an artist using mechanical pencils, untill i had a temper tantrum so bad, i scraped off my entire tip of the mechanical pencil with paper like somebody would sharpen a knife with sandpaper

Sometimes you’ll just find the perfect mechanical pencil, like I found one on the floor that just had an amazing eraser.

What about roller ball pens? Also: I am a dip pen user because I could never move past my childhood trauma with fountain pens that just always leaked ink. If dip pen hurt you, it must have been your mistake. As long as you use it right, and use the right kind of ink, it will work reliably and you can depend on it.

Ok I hear you on glass dip pens, but metal dip pens are actually crazy good for getting control and varied line thicknesses from one tool. Also they actually hold more ink than you expect, so you’re not actually dipping every few strokes. There’s a reason they are the preferred pen for a lot of Manga artists.
