When dudley was a great place to  visit ❤ so sad 😢

I remember the poor polar bear, on its own, moving its head too and fro. For hours. Poor bear

Just wonderful. Just how I remember it as a kid! The bustling marketplace compared to now, has made me feel quite sad.

Used to be great years ago when I was a kid ...my how it's changed and not for the better 😔😔

Take me back to the present day - no thank you! I'll stay right here in the past.

We went to Dudley a few weeks ago it looks like a different country now

Can't believe I've found this :) This was filmed in 1981. I was the kid standing next to Gwyn at the Chemist's window. Charnwood was my junior school and I'd already moved onto secondary school in 1982 long before this was broadcast. Thanks for uploading, only a recent pop up of the BBC Archive channel reminded me to search👍

I was 14 when this was filmed, how sad the decline of Dudley over the years...

The kids actually listening intently to the older generations explaining something. It should still be that way in the majority of cases. Even if you have no interest in something, listening to your elders gives them peace🎉
