in the age of AI, creating something with your own hands is a radical act 💝

One of the heartbreaking aspects of aging is losing fine motor coordination. I've always relished sewing by hand but find it has been getting much harder to hold my needle ect. I still love thinking about the meditative quality of stitching by hand and find I enjoy watching others do it! Beautiful work, thank you.

I love the calm and thoughtful feeling of slow stitching. Every little stitch seems to add more personality to the fabric.

At 73 i am learning how to slow stitch  ive Mended my whole life just now slow stitching is fun not a chore  i love all beautiful items id frame them all !!

New upcycling hobby unlocked

I love to make journals and would like to make this type of stitching for my covers

So beautiful! I imagine a set of these would make beautiful coasters as a gift!

It looks like a garden seen from above. ❤

I stumbled across this video this morning and I'm so glad that I did.  This entire video was mesmerizing to me. I used to quilt ages ago and even further back in my younger years I used to embroider.  I'm excited to dig out my old fabrics, learn the sashiko stitches that you've used here and get to making some fun items out of long forgotten scraps.

Beautiful. Wonderful. Fabulous. Thank you very much for your inspiration. ❤🙏

😍 you have been such an inspiration through the last few years and now that I am getting interested in Sashiko, here you are showing us all how to do this! Thank you so much for the video tutorials you take the time to film and share. You are a gem in this space.

They look like cute little drink coasters for your hot tea or coffee :)

I would patch those 2 beautiful fabric crafts to my laptop bag ❤❤

There is a whole lot of love going into each, and every stitch of those two works of art well done

What do you do with beautiful things you make ? Do people around you appreciate it ? Does it sell ? Or is it only for YouTube videos? I hope you are able to sell off most things !

What a calming and beautiful video.  I could sit and hand sew for hours.  This will definitely be my next hobby/obsession.  Lord knows I have fabric scraps.

We need some ‘pretties’ in our lives.  These are so nice.  Personally I have a large box where my collection of pretties live.  I pick up shells, pebbles, postcards and alsorts of eye catching stuff from my walks or days away.  Now and again the box lid gets lifted and my hands wander through the contents reliving memories.  Lots of my slow stitching is in there too made from scraps of fabric.  There’s no reason to make a useful item from slow stitching it’s a process using colour and texture over a relaxing few hours ….  It’s also easy to carry around in your handbag for the odd moments ……. I love your pieces here today.  I’ve subscribed!!  Thanks for sharing 😊

I love a good slow stitch! I recently fell in love with a sachiko style running stitch because you can kind of doodle across the fabric, adding in twists and waves wherever you fancy.

Greetings from California. I slowed this video down to 75% so that I could enjoy a more real time view of your sewing which was perfect for me...loved this very much.

I’m inspired by the stitching and all the ideas in the comments. My favorite part of sewing has always been the hand work and mending.
