I recently took a 3-night, 4-day trip to Edinburgh, Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
I visited classic spots like Edinburgh Castle and the Old Town, as well as places associated with Harry Potter, Dean Village, and the summer spectacle, the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

This was my second visit to Edinburgh, following my round-the-world trip last year.

This time, I went with my daughter, visiting places I wanted to walk through again and places I couldn't visit last time.

We strolled through the quiet Old Town in the morning, enjoyed butterscotch beer at the newly reopened Elephant House, and thoroughly explored Edinburgh Castle.

We also enjoyed the sights unique to the festival season, when the city is at its most lively.

And in the evening, we went to one of the main reasons for returning to Edinburgh: the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

This is the summer festival at Edinburgh Castle that I absolutely wanted to show my daughter, a former band member.

In the second half, we visited Dean Village and the National Museum of Scotland.

Beyond the standard tourist spots, I'll also introduce some favorite places I discovered on my second visit, and spots I'd recommend to anyone planning a trip to Edinburgh.
