I've lived twice as long, yet haven't lived even a fraction of this man's life.

Charlie's mom was our landlord in the early 2000's in Central Phoenix.  She was without a doubt the coolest landlord we ever had.  She found out that I had recording gear on hand at the house we were renting because I was hosting a radio show.  Charlie needed to record some audio for a school project, so she dropped him off and I helped with it.  This was either late 2001 or early 2002.  He was in those awkward teen years but the thing that struck me about him was just what a polite and respectful person he was.  We had a blast working on the audio for the project and I really enjoyed the conversation.
I was shocked years later to hear about "Charles Keating IV" killed fighting alongside the Peshmerga.  I had no idea what he had gone on to do.  I thought, "That name sounds so familiar.  There's no way that's Krista's son Charlie, is there?"  I did some quick searching online and soon realized it was him.  I spent hours reading about what he went on to do.  What a life.  He lived more in those short years than most people would in 10 lifetimes.  I have a tremendous amount of respect for what he chose to do with this life and I am so glad I had the chance to meet him.
I'll never forget the first time I watched this documentary.  I immediately shared the link with my parents (both of whom were really affected by it) and on Facebook.  More people need to know his story.  Thank you, Charlie.  Godspeed.

As a Kurd, I will make sure my sons remember your name and carry your legacy. I ask our father in heaven to bless your soul and your family. Love you C4.

Why are people like 69 famous when this is the type of people we should look up to

I was part of the Air Force team that transported his body off the plane in Kuwait. I will always remember the picture his teammate had of him because of the big smile. It was a very sad day for us all and I can’t imagine what his family is feeling! Thank you for your ultimate sacrifice to this Country!!!!

As a Kurd, I'm so proud of him. May he rest in piece. Thank you for fighting alongside our Peshmerga to protect our people.

Man deserves a movie made after him,  very honorable

Whenever I hear a story like this, I look at the date in which they died and try and remember what I was doing on that very day. Almost all the times I can’t. It saddens me very much to think that maybe I was being ungrateful for any reason that day.

R.I.P. C4. I got a chance to surf with him at Sunset Cliffs before he went on deployment and dude was legit a good person defined

“All men die, but not all men really live....” 🤘🏽Thank you C4

“Watch how much fun I’m having” with the biggest grin on his face as he lights someone up with a 249 SAW

This is what a true American hero looks rest easy C4 gone but never forgotten.

His pops calling him a “Badass MotherFucker” hit me pretty hard

Shit made me tear up when his boys saluted him and sent off rounds , such a strong brotherhood

“C4” one hell of a name

I’m lucky to have had the opportunity to meet Charles,he would come to my family’s pizzeria regularly in imperial beach and order a slice of pepperoni and a soda.he would stop by before deployments and say he would be gone for a little but he needed a slice before he left, funny thing is I never knew he was a seal.he was always respectful, kind, and humble and walked in with a smile on his face.God bless Charles and his family.until we will meet again brother 🙏🏼

I am 56 and live I the uk. Never heard of him before stumbled on this film. Now I will never forget him. Did more than I will do in 10 lifetimes. They should make a movie about this man. What an absolute legend.
