Before every modern navy seal needed their own podcast, movie and book deal. They were Humble.

Quite frankly, this is the best Navy SEAL documentary ever filmed. It was produced during a time when there was no social media and there were no books written about the SEALs and their exploits. The guys in those teams were not concerned with being famous, writing books, consulting for movies, or appearing in reality shows. These guys represented the quintessential "quiet professional" who was in it to fight at the highest level and nothing else.

My younger brother was in Seal Team 1. I was very proud of him. Today he is a 70 year old bad-ass. We have 3 Purple Hearts between us. Proudly served!

Great documentary. As an old soldier, it always breaks my heart to see a young widow accepting a medal for her soldier, who never came home to her.

In Navy bootcamp (1970) we watched this as a recruitment event. A couple guys from my company went SEAL after seeing this.

I went in 1986.My Uncle's BOTH told me that same EXACT thing;"if that man in in front of you can do it,YOU can do it too."-Well...I did it.Now my KNEES are doing it back to me---!!!

these guys are tougher than woodpecker lips...jungle fighting ain't a joke, the enemy may not always be around to kill you but the jungle always is. I have been bitten in places I needed three mirrors to see as an example and dengue fever is a bionic nut kick. Thank goodness these are our guys...

As a boy growing up in the Texas Hill Country I was fortunate enough to become friends with a Vietnam Veteran SEAL who lost the use of his legs due to an underwater explosion. I also became friends with a Green Beret who worked in both the Phoenix Program & SOG. Along with my Father who is also a Special Operations Veteran and a 1st Cousin who was a 1st Cav Trooper in Vietnam, I absolutely knew I would enter the Military and learn every skill I could. There Men shaped my world view and helped me learn to think critically and I’m forever grateful.

I'm proud to say my dad is in this video. He doesn't talk alot about his 2 tours in Vietnam, but he's my hero for doing it and anyone who served overseas should be revered as a hero as well! God bless them all!!

Those that want to be SEALs should really listen to what is being said in this documentary. The speakers are pretty much telling you what it takes mentally and physically. One second one minute  one hour one day at a time.

They did their training in the field talk about do or die 🇺🇸

I served with one of the men in this video. He was originally with UDT team 11, then went on to Seal Team One, and PRU unit 1. One of the finest men I've ever met on this planet

The guys in the Choppers near the end are HAL3 Only Navy Gunships in the U.S Navy. Navy SEAL's created them back in the 60's along with the U.S Army very elite group of Naval Airmen. they worked and in hand with Many SF and Spec Ops units. today it is the U.S Army Night Stalkers that did it. back then it was the SeaWolves

20th century SEALs: quiet professionals

21th century SEALs: Book deals, Podcasts, and "motivational speaking"

This is the Navy film which originally convinced me to sign up for the SEALs.  At the time, they weren't that well known.

These guys would be In their late  70s and early 80s now. God bless em all.

I love how we did PT in boots back in the day. Today we get lush shoes and shorts, and the PT standards are still ridiculously low.

Imagine back I'm the day hardcore without all the tech we take for granted now a days. This is awesome.

Imagine the number of team guys that watched this prior to enlisting

There is a fantastic Navy Seals museum in Ft Pierce Florida. If you ever find yourself on the east coast of central Florida it worth the trip.
