What ever you do don't feel sorry for that killer comarant. They' are the reasons Those little lakes don't have fish after a few weeks. They'll eat hundreds a week! They are an evasive bird they are not ducks nore related Only in the amphibious and flight way.  A seagull would have flown off with you line. And died later. Specially if you use braid. That is the killer for small animals and bird's ducks and geese

What true fishermen doesn't have pliers!

during the Winter, Texas Parks and Wildlife stocks the community fishing ponds with rainbow trout, i have tried many times with different baits, worms, corn, soft artificials, etc no luck.  but the 30+ cormorants are getting them easily.

These clowns should not be allowed around sharp objects....

Powerbait floats so you don't want to use a bobber put your sinker on the bottom of your line then about 14 inches  up put your hook with a leader and  bait of your choice I like rainbow or corn flavor for stocked trout

those are cormorants

Those are comorant they'll eat three pounds of fish at least three times a day! They dessamate salmon and steelhead smolt in the Columbia River and tributaries. Even around the Puget sound and tributaries.

I seen a guy in the Puget sound. Catch one off a down rigger 200 ft he said. That day everyone was catching seagull's and those comorant s on baits below bobber's it was a bad Day.

The problem is, at a small park like this, People are quick to blame the fisherman and often times might put up "No Fishing" signs, but the real problem is all of the people who go to places like this and feed the birds and ducks. Feeding waterfowl is illegal in most areas and its so overlooked, yet causes so many issues.

Great meeting you the other day, crazy that cormorant got caught on your line. Keep casting and posting videos!

I have caught many comerants realing fish in at glassman's pond in ogden

Cormorants will literally dive bomb straight at a lure sometimes. It happened to me once and thankfully the hook didn’t penetrate the beak so he shook off

Black birds are commarants! That cove pond was fire 5 years ago they put a chem in there for the moss killed a bunch of fish all small planters now 😢

I hate those pesky cormorants!

Damn cormorants eat up all the stocked fish the state puts out there. They can eat up to 4lbs a day.

Grab the darn bird!

I agree with other comments those comerants have ate most of the trout planted there they are a nuisance. Don't feel bad for that bird

My boy blowing up ⬆️ lol 😆

Love the vids, I’ve been wanting to start a channel myself if you have any tips I would love to hear back from you. FISH ON!

Good ol comorants
