Weird how the ILLEGAL immigrants don`t want to be seen on camera or want to chat and intergate hey? You`d have thought since they are so desperate to be here they`d be buzzing to chat with the locals and keen to be seen to be intergating well, rather than hanging around together looking shifty and staring at people.

The lad  from Croydon, drew and the lady with 2 dogs and 4 cats were very friendly. The migrants have no interest in integrating with us at all.

I wish the Guardian reading types cared more about the people in these areas rather than in places thousands of miles away that they’ll never visit.

The areas might be run down but the majority of residents are proper, salt of the earth types.

We allowed a small group of 1960s town planners to destroy generations in creating these dystopian, soviet style nightmares. This place in particular looks like something from Clockwork Orange. At least there is some greenery.

Absolutely shameful what governments have let so many places go to rack and ruin.

They have no intention to integrate or communicate; they would much rather you leave them alone, they want to claim free money, car, house.

The government can't understand why so many people have mental issues. Maybe forcing people to live in areas like this and not putting any effort into cleaning them up, could have something to do with it.

Tbh Billy’s strongest videos are the ones where the concrete almost becomes a character. Those subways, boarded shops and neglected walkways tell you plenty, but then the locals explain what living around them actually feels like. That’s exactly why I started filming overlooked British towns on my own channel… you can read decades of decisions in the streets. Skelmersdale deserves more than just being called “rough.”

lived there 10 years ago, with a violent ex. lost all my children to him living there, flee to Scotland, gained two of my children back through age. Now titled and married to a better husband, the ex has been dumped by his own kids and his misses.. he has gone to live with his mum now. How much better i am off, than this depressing dump of a town. I notice it hasnt changed at all and to my view never will.  GLAD i left.

Skem didnt disapoint, lived there for 3 years and literally feels like youre in a world of your own in a small town in middle of nowhere
