Rosie concerned about how she’ll absorb the info… sees the word heretic and instantly yells it

You’ll do fine kiddo

A correction/clarification: the Custodes are the top dogs in the Imperium, ABOVE the Inquisition. They just, tend to stay on Holy Terra, basically allowing the Inquisition to do what they wanted. This has led to a few instances where an Inquisitor getting uppity with a Custodes . . . It doesn’t end well for the Inquisitors

A NEW HAND TOUCHES THE BRICKY!

Thanks for giving our big goofy sci-fi setting an honest try! I hope the other comments here aren’t too overwhelming. And I hope you saw something that caught your interest but if you didn’t that’s okay too!

I actually shook my head and looked at Rosie disappointingly. Almost cracked when she then said "Please laugh." ='D

Kaldor Draigo of Grey Knights is a funny dude.
He is on paper a leader of Grey Knights, but he was cursed to forever roam Warp by a demon, because demon thought it would be mutual destruction. Warp usually kills mortals by driving them crazy, starving them or just mutating, but not Draigo: he survived, and instead started roaming Warp and killing demons at their home. I think there are mentions of cultists trying to summon chaos demons into material universe, only to summon Draigo instead, who would kill all cultists and disappear again.
At some point chaos gods decided he is a massive pain in the ass, so they extended their help him to gtfo of their Warp. Draigo refused to collaborate with demonspawn and killed their messengers.

“It’s kind of sexy”

Ah, so you chose the Chaos faction.

So be it! FOR THE EMPEROR!

Rambo literally is in 40k hes called Sly Marbo.

Sly is a nickname for Sylvester Stallone ands Marbo is an anagram of Rambo.

4:15 the Adeptus Arbites are basically like a bunch of Judge Dredd-style cops, they aren't in this video because they weren't very fleshed-out when it was made

She's already calling people heretics.

I'm so proud.

Yes do part 2 please. The re-explained videos go into greater detail but I find his original faction videos to be a better entry point; more light hearted, more comedy, and gives you the gist essentially without overloading you with too much. Then if you’re interested, you go to the re-explained’s to dive further :)

"There is no such thing as a plea of innocence in my court. A plea of innocence is guilty of wasting my time. Guilty." - some Inquisitor

Theres no Skaven in 40k, but they did somehow manage to contact the eldar through warp shenanigans, and Skaven engineering.

34:00 They know what they are doing because their holy books are actually instruction manuals. If you watched Bricky's timeline video, they were the technicians who maintained the life-support systems underground on Mars, and eventually became priests, so their holy books read like this, "Thou shalt chant the litany of revealing as you turn the four screws on the divine panel exactly 16 rotations, and lo, the holy circuit will be revealed, replace the corrupted fuse with a pure one and replace the panel, giving honor to the Omnissiah for allowing us mortals to manipulate his grand mechanical design."

My favorite quote from an inquisitor: "A plea of not guilty is guilty of wasting my time."

The Emperor is a terrible father, but there’s no denying that he loves humanity more passionately than anyone else. Whether it’s his son or himself, he would sacrifice anything to ensure the survival of the human race.

Most important info you must know: Ciaphas Cain is the hero of the Imperium.

There is an inquisitor named Fyodor Karamazov that once said "A plea of innocence is guilty of wasting my time."

Bricky’s weird “Spess Mehreens” pronunciation at that one point is a shoutout to this one character in a video game with a memetically weird accent.

7:50 It's not the Emperor's will to remain alive. He's held there against his will by his occult followers to subconsciously power a lighthouse in the warp.
