That Deciever edit when she said yay Ctan had me rolling

To be fair to the Old Ones, the Necrontyr had genocided a few races out of jealousy by the time they met the Old Ones.

To be fair, Sweet Six Pack is my favorite gamersupps flavor. The brick knows what's good.

Was not expecting Mysti to go into 40k so soon with the Bricky videos lol. Now she has to react to Fleekazoid and his 40k game videos (specifically Space Marine 1, Boltgun and both Space Marine 2 videos).

Sister of Battle Mysti incoming

To be fair, the necrontyr were eager to go on a conquest spree. The Old Ones simply saw rabid dogs demanding to have their leash cut and refused. Like, would.you open the prison cell of a psycho?

Welcome to the grimdark! Very happy to have another fan of the franchise. If you're serious about getting into the hobby Necrons are a great starter faction and they have some pretty cool models. They are an attrition based faction so that is something to be aware of but they are fairly easy to paint and start collecting. Welcome!

Now... We only need to get Mysti to play Warhammer 40k And the circule would be complete :D

"KILL THE OLD ONES~!"
---Well... how convenient.

"It's one of those ship things?"
---Ship of Theseus. If all the components of a ship are eventually replaced... is it still the same ship?

"Even if they're not in pain anymore"
---Erm... about that... True, they no longer have their 'space cancer'... Yet, paradox is, many of them surviving Necrons regret having lost their flesh bodies. Likewise, they regret the loss of their souls. Though on the other side of that, they are among the most powerful factions in the setting simply due to not being as vulnerable. Chaos/Daemons? No souls to consume or corrupt. Tyranids? No flesh to consume, Necrons are all metal.

One disadvantage of the Necrons? Senility/data-corruption.

Also, your voice, enthusiasm and image are quite adorable, ma'am.

"Oh, there's always an elf fucking up everything somewhere!"
---Oh, how... prophetic.

"BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!"
---Well! How... appropriate.

"Dystopian, but in an enjoyable way..."
---Welcome aboard, ma'am. Hope your stay is a good one.

If you want to know how a failed warp jump looks like, watch and react to Event Horizon. The unofficial warhammer movie.
(Warp jump: when spaceships go from one solar system to another through the warp).

Personally I love how these videos Bricky made were picked up and reacted to by smaller egirls back in 2021-2022 and then evolved into vtuber reactions. Which then led to Matara reacting to them and liking them so much she collabed with Bricky and now he’s trapped within the vtuber universe and likely won’t escape any time soon. Also according to their space marine 2 livestreams Cali, Biboo, and IRYS from hololive have watched part of if not all of these Bricky videos in their own time.

LORD BRICKY HAS BRICKED ANOTHER! Another hand has touched the brick.

one of my fave bits of lore is the cadian planet literally cracking before the soldiers on said planet did.

the soldiers kept fighting back the innumerable xeno tyrannid hordes for decades, not expecting help. the tyrannids, the attacking force, in their desperation, literally cracked the whole freaking planet.

this doesn't involve the space marines except whomever was already on the planet, so these are just, dudes in bunkers with guns fighting an unstoppable force that keeps reinforcing itself indefinitely from a continent sized meteor that came from outside the galaxy.

if you were born on that planet before it got cracked, you'd be in a fortified city, you'd be given a gun before you became a teenager, your first clothes would be armored, and your practice targets would just, be, the xeno tyrannid horde, you would practice shooting your gun, on the enemy attacking your city.

also, there are flying xeno. so your city's anti-air guns would be constantly firing.

you wouldn't recognize silence if everything went quiet. you were taught tactics, strategy, how to use bombs, all before leaving school.

you would spend decades fighting before you finally get the reprieve of the literal planet beneath your feet coming apart, then you'd have to fight continuously, until the planet stopped supporting you.

"cadia cracked before the cadians did!" was a common inspiring shout amongst the imperials.

and in the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war, so this was just some Tuesday.

A new Hand touches the Brick

The woman at 37:40 with the crossbow / gun is Inquisitor Katarinya Greyfax there's a few books on her and she's been important in a couple of things in the lore of warhammer.

Welcome to the rabbit hole! I strongly advise checking out his faction videos when you get the chance if you want more of a deep dive.

Warhammer 40k is a game and a setting I'm extremely passionate about, and it's always great fun seeing new people take an interest in it. Your description of it being "dystopian, but in a fun way" perfectly summarizes the unique charm of the setting, where everything is so ridiculously terrible that it goes full circle into being almost absurd. XD
