Fun fact, Gears Tactics was originally going to be a board game, and takes a lot of the mechanics from the already existing Gears of War board game

Hearing “I swear I’m missing way too many of these 90% shots” from someone fresh to the genre is so funny lol
That’s XCOM, baby!

Holy shit it’s a gears tactics critique! I will be eating good today.

Such a great, if flawed, series of games. Thank you for covering them all up to this point, looking forward to the E-Day video whenever that game comes out

2:05 THAT OUR WORD, GROUND WALKER!

I want a gears of war version of halo wars

One thing I did love about gears was there was nuance to the C.O.G being a Totalitarian government. Was a LOT of Gears were begrudgingly a part of the military Marcus short of outright saying he hates the C.O.G makes it very clear he's not a fan of the government. So hearing a character say Fascist like a broken record is just ughhhh especially because realistically this could have been a chance to really focus on that aspect with Gabe and her. Gabe could go over why he chose to be demoted why he doesn't like the Prescott but why he stayed. Ya know.... Nuance. That thing that gives characters depth.

Thanks for even more great content, its a lot of hard work making these and its very appreciated.

There's boot armor in the game that increases movement range and scouts get a barrel that also increases their range. Scouts also get abilities that either gives them more actions by sacrificing a third of their health or get it next turn. They also have access to a movement ability where they run in a straight line until the curser reaches a maximum distance or is unstrucked and only costs one action point
Heavies also have access to an ability where they gain more actions however unlike scouts where they lose health they lose the ability to shoot the turn this ability is used. They can still throw grenades and any hunker bonuses they have aren't lost.
Vangards charge to my knowledge doesn't have a range limit you just need to make sure that it can be done in a straight line.

Please never stop making videos

Excellent cut scenes in this game. Love it!

The big man’s back!

2:08 Id give Karn a pass as the diggers are hollow creatures and given his reputation and fighting on the other side of Sera he most likely found a use for them. And it wouldn't be too out of character since he decided to use creatures including the shibboleth which was a mutated corpser and was basically considered disabled when he found it. Alright that might sound like cope, but thats the best answer I could think of

your gears critiques are my favorite videos
