You know, the swarm aren’t perfect. They definitely could be better written. But I find it unfair to compare them to the locust as a whole. The Locust had years to develop a culture and hierarchy beneath the surface. The Swarm woke up one game ago and they only just started organizing because they have a queen. They are literally at a higher disadvantage than their predecessors .

All of this because they thought it was a good idea to separate a mother from her child

I was thinking “there’s no way Adam could have discovered a cure for lambency in those 5 years .” But then I did some research into the timeline and was astounded by all the time and effort put into the lore to make the impression that yes he definitely could have in those 5 years but he had to choose between a human war and a locust war.

Niles was a freaking moron if he thought “oh your daughter and her father are dead” was going to calm down a first time mother.

You have no idea how long I’ve been waiting for this. These gears vids are how I discovered your channel and I cannot wait to see more videos like this one (i also cannot wait to see what you cover in the halo universe next too)

The COG created their greatest enemy we all know that but man i still sometimes just make it up in my mind that they evolved as an alternate path to human evolution that went and stayed underground since they had an entire society under our feet

I wonder if this shadowy organisation will be hinted at in E-Day

I still demand a spinoff game that shows the war from the Locust side.

We need a full game centered around the locust horde not just dlc

WOW. It was around 15 years ago or so when I got gears of war. Faithfully played up until gears 3. How did I manage to miss all of this? Until this video I thought the locust were just another civilization beneath our feet. At no point did I know that we created the locust. I'm utterly shocked.

I always forget that seras years are way longer than ours, so the locust evolving over "30 years" seems so much more plausible when you factor that its more like 75 years on earth
