Lamb is not "gamey'. Gamey is the taste of meat that has been sourced from the wild, earthy and strong. Lamb is grass and pasture fed.
I would have lamb before beef every day of the week. It's a beautiful meat when served just 'pink'.

All the Beef in Britain contains no growth hormones or GM Crops ,Just Cows Grass fed .

29th August 2026. Tomorrow is Sunday and I’m cooking our usual Sunday dinner. Tomorrow it’s roast pork, crispy roast potatoes, carrots, runner beans out of our garden and cauliflower cheese gravy and apple sauce. We’re both 75 and can’t imagine a Sunday without a roast dinner😊

I cook a Sunday dinner every week, Roast beef and horseradish, pork with apple sauce or leg of lamb with mint sauce. Always homemade Yorkshire puddings and gravy made with the meat drippingd.
Manna from heaven!!!

I used to cook a roast dinner for my family of two sons and my husband every Sunday. My favourite meat is lamb but we used to have beef sometimes or pork. In the middle of the week we also used to have a small roast dinner of chicken. We always had at least two or three fresh vegetables with it and always roast potatoes and roast parsnips.

Sundays are for having the family round for a Roast. Roast beef or lamb or pork. Roast potatoes, creamed potatoes, selection of vegetables and yorkshire pudding with a rich gravy.

When he said gamey I think he was just experiencing meat with a flavour of its own . Lamb has a definite taste which is unmistakable. I love it

Even with our cheapest meat you can trace it back to the actual farm that the animal came from.

The charcuterie is a starter dish, it’s not meant to be big, it’s just to get your appetite going!

For 32 pounds that plate should be full, with about 7 to 8 roast potatoes. Your paying for a full plate.

Sunday roast after church was a regular thing when I was a child.

I just cook it at home at a fraction of the cost. That said, it’s nice to go out and be waited on sometimes and not have to spend hours in the kitchen, or do a mountain of washing up after.
