Daniel Craig was never the obvious choice to play James Bond. He came from smaller, dramatic roles and didn’t see himself as 007, and initially wasn’t even sure he wanted the part. But after an intense audition process, Craig was chosen to take on one of the most iconic characters in cinema and immediately faced an enormous wave of backlash.
This video explores how Daniel Craig became James Bond in Casino Royale and how his performance completely reinvented the iconic character, turning 007 into a more brutal, vulnerable and human version of Bond than audiences had ever seen before.
Shout to Sasha Di Bartolomeo and Flowstate for the epic track used at 11:00. His track is called: Oblivor & Sasha Di Bartolomeo - Monolith (Sasha Di Bartolomeo Remix)
