i feel like this absolute unit deserved more HP, you can barely hear the full 1st phase music, also because he just goes into 2nd phase at 60-65%

This is one of the songs in Fromsoft where I like the first phase of a song more than the second

I love how RAW this mf is, all the dragonslayers opted to use ranged bolts of lightning or arrows, others chose spears all to dig into the scales of a dragon, but THIS GUY uses an AXE of all things, you can see it in his Weapon art that he wasn't just some dragonslayer, he was a dragon EXECUTIONER

This makes it crystal clear how majestic the Dragonslayers were, Ornstein especially. They were one of the most powerful and honorable forces in all of history and their glory is one of the few time has not chipped away at.

I always had the headcannon that the DA is actually Ornstein's armor. And that it was so appalled by his decision to join the dragons that part of it split off and remade itself into a symbol of strength in opposition of Ornstein's original dexterity focused fighting style.

i love how heroic and badass it sounds, not bad for a big suit of armor controlled by butterflies from the abyss

Honestly the first phase music should have been the 2nd phase ost, this is just way cooler tbh.

this is peak of dark souls ost, nothing can top this

sir alonne if he fought like havel

I couldnt even focus on the fight i was just mesmerized with how beautiful this soundtrack was, shame the 2nd phase wasnt like this

Fun facts:
From the original japanese description, the dragonslayer armour is ancient but the wording makes it date back to the foundation of the kingdom of Lothric and its early dragon hunts before they learned to tame and ride them.
Case in point, Gundyr's armour comes from the same historical period and they share many stylistical details. So, whoever donned this armour in life had never met, let alone fought, an OG ancient dragon alongside Gwyn

The helmet depicts a Primordial serpent, toothy grin, fleshy whiskers and all: most likely Frampt. The kingdom of Lothric supported the firelinking tradition for generations so it makes sense for them to honor the Kingseeker

1:43 Yuka Kitamura: 🎺🎺🔥🔥

Me when i start a Non Final Boss Figth:

Start this OST.

I feel that Prince Lorian and Lothric would be hella nice to hear 👉👈

Damn wtf I never realized how good this is

This was one of my favorite bosses in Dark Souls 3, second only to the Abyss Watchers.

Astonishing OST. Easily amongst the very best from the whole series in my opinion.

It sounds like a tragic tale of a forgotten hero

like a mix of the berserker armor and that one archer demon

And when we don his armour, we get a fat dumpy. When we wield his axe, we mimic 1 unique swing out of 10+ that he has. When we carry his shield... we're literally holding it upside down compared to him. The player can't even copy 1% of the power of this badass.

1:58 man how i love this part <3
