Which Dark Souls has your favorite OST?

Cool detail about the twin princes is during the first phase your just fighting the elder brother who happens to be mute (no choir in phase 1) then at start of phase 2 the younger brother steps in who can speak and the choir comes in.

Yuka Kitamura is the GOAT. Best FromSoft composer imo but the others are amazing as well.

It's crazy how you guys can perfectly describe the boss just from the music and one of you hasn't even played!

Fun fact about Darkeater Midir;

the lone female voice in the choir you hear throughout most of the piece is the composer herself, Yuka Kitamura!

Soul of Cinder being culmination of everything before it, you dont say?

The “Plin Plin Plon” part is the most contemplative section, perhaps meant to show the determination of Gwyn, who was protecting his entire kingdom and people from the inevitable end—an end that ultimately led him to sacrifice himself to keep the Flame alive.
What many people don’t realize is that each Dark Souls game takes place at the end of a cycle. In every cycle, thousands of years have passed; countless civilizations have risen, many peoples have appeared, and so much has been created. It’s a fantasy world we would probably want to live in, yet all of it eventually comes to a tragic, inevitable, and seemingly meaningless end.
And perhaps that is the same fate our own civilization will eventually face: returning to the void, with everything we built having no ultimate purpose—simply happening by chance.

Soul of Cinder is literally all of us players and Lords from the previous games.

Fun fact, for twin princes - only one fights you on the first half and he is mute, hence being choir-less. The second half, his brother finally joins in on the fight, and the vocals all come crashing in.

A really cool/interesting part of the Dancer of the Boreal Valley fight is how her footsteps sound like someone stomping in a distant hallway. It really adds to the unsettling feeling of the fight

What I love about the soundtrack is how "Final" it all sounds, everything from the world literally being folded into itself and being stripped away to how just about everyone you run into is like; "Just put an end to it all".

27:00 “…it’s not holy” is a great insight considering pontiff is the single most evil character in the trilogy
