I was in Bali in April. It looks so quiet there now.. it was a bit busier in April. But it was the start of the war I think. I hope your all doing okay?

You don't need 'advanced technology' (what do you mean by that?) for waste management, you just need regular involvement: many more garbage trucks, collection points and of course spots to select (for upcycling) and destroy the garbage. The most important thing to change is the passive mentality of too many people. No, the government won't 'take care of it', unless millions of people demand it. Also, practice what you preach and also teach your daughter. The worst kind of garbage is plastic and there are wayyyyy too many plastic bags again in Bali (I thought they were forbidden at some point?). When you buy a fruit juice that comes in a (plastic) cup, with a (plastic) straw, at least refuse the plastic bag the seller wants to put that cup in. Just carry it in your hand and drink it, like they do in most other parts of the world. Otherwise you are part of the problem. Plastic takes between 20 and 500 (!) years to decompose, so use it as little as possible and educate the people around you too. My excuses if I sound too harsh, but nothing will change when everyone stays passive. Make Bali beautiful again together :face-red-heart-shape:♥
