The business model is genius in its simplicity: a drunk bogan doesn’t see a plastic chair and think “cheap mass-produced furniture” — he sees a “VIP lounge with a view of Bintang beers and terrible life decisions.” Suddenly, a chair that costs two dollars wholesale can be rented out for five bucks an hour, as long as there’s happy hour and music loud enough to drown out personal crises.
The beautiful thing is that the plastic chair never complains. It stands loyally through spilled drinks, sunburnt Australians, and at least three misspelled tattoos. Any economist would call it passive income. Any local would call it Tuesday.
If the stock market ever collapses, I already have my retirement plan ready: a shipping container full of white plastic chairs, a sign saying “Cold Beer Here,” and absolutely no shame.
