Devils fan here. When we've played the Pens over the years, one thing that never occurred to me was "Gee ... , how are we ever going to solve Tristan Jarry?"
I had high hopes for Levi but he actually looks even worse in his own even-more-awkward way.
Our own current goalie situation is a question mark, but it aint anywhere near this. You have my sympathies, Oil fans.

That was the greatest Canucks loss ever!

Crease concerns? Lmao this has been the problem for years with Edmonton. Not that hard to figure out.

27 total goals in two games. Looks like we are in for a wild ride

We are in for another long year again with goaltending here in Edmonton and we can’t wait until Anderson gets back once again bad management makes bad decisions they knew he would be out till December and they were naïve to think the two backup would be the patch until December.

Oilers dont just have poor goaltending. Their defense, like always have been poor.

No goalie can stop pucks when the team refuses for years to play defense.

The Dunning-Kruger effect is on full display with Martin Biron.

After the first game I was thinking - Oh, there they go again. Last night when it was 8-2, I thought - Ok, I was wrong. When I saw the final score of 9-7, I was like - Enough with the Band-Aid fixes, that team needs a tourniquet to stop the bleeding.

The Sieve I use to strain my pasta would let in less goals!  Great off season work not getting at least a High School level goalie!

You don’t need 4 minutes to say “EXTREMELY concerned.” Bowman never places enough emphasis on the goaltending position.

Wow, concerns in the Oilers Crease? This is the first time we’ve heard this. Lolol

Oilers should be coached by Michael Bay. They always seem to keep you on the edge of your seat, even when they are up 8-2...lol.

In the past it was always defense. I really felt for Skinner and Pickard. But 23 and 22 shots against?! These two games are on Jarry and Levi, full stop. It's going to be a long fall boys.

I love the Oilers goaltending! Being in Vancouver, that's only natural. LOL! Big trouble in Oil Country. 😭Only been going on for about 10 years or more, no? But seriously, for the life of me, I don't understand why Bowman doesn't trade a top 3 to 6 forward for a good goalie, or make some cap space for said goalie..... Hellebuyck is available, no? Ham and egging it with backup goalies just doesn't cut it.

Your answer is Freddie? He may play one game and decide he is injured for the rest of the season. Or may be legitimately with this defense in front. To be fair 2 games out of 84 with a short preseason shouldn't make anyone panic.

I dunno if it’s Soo much goalie concern rather than a defensive zone structure by the players in front of them

Crease concerns? The only people not concerned are their opponents...

Levi takes a few games to settle in.  His numbers in college and in the AHL showed that.. Still, some of the goals he gave up he was also hung out to dry too.

Actually, the team has looked better this year than it did last year and seems improved considerably overall, Except... goaltending... it is absolutely atrocious.  I honestly don't believe the scores would've been as close as they were in these first 2 games if we still had Skinner in net.  I mean... at this point, we may as well take a guy off the street or a beer league and we'd have the same net result... it's literally non-existent.  I don't know what they have for cap space, but mgmt either needs to use all of whatever is remaining and get somebody good for a price, or... start bringing up all of their "little league" assets and giving them a shot.  I mean... they have nothing to lose but maybe find a hidden talent that could actually take this team somewhere... as it is, the Oilers aren't going anywhere without decent goaltending, and as it sits, it's not even average... I'd bet it's the worst in the entire league and maybe even worse than the AHL.
