Ultimately it's about entertainment and for most fans they liked seeing goals

We got our moneys worth last night with the amount of goals score last night

This is a good rebuild loss

Man, the fun is back, all round. Great show!

Should have pulled lankinen, If the kid is dressed to play, he should play

Drance is so negative. Did the team play like crap defensively? Yes. They also scored 7 goals and showed a lot of pushback in a game they were getting dominated in. They also played with similar grit in Edmonton. Vancouver is supposed to be ass, it's a rebuild. Any good moments should just be enjoyed.

There's a long season ahead, so there is time yet for Raty.

But I definitely want to see more of him this year. He looked like a very stable 3C/4C in preseason.

That game was awesome. If our vets hadn’t taken some dumb penalties and gotten us buried in the first period it might have turned out differently. I had a lot of fun, and I’m choosing to take away some positives.

It was a test of perseverance and resilience for the Canucks.  They would had folded after being down 8-2 last few seasons.  The pre-season form take is legit after teams only played like 4 preseason games instead of 8, but the Canucks may look like this for most of this season, while the Oilers are dealing with injuries and adjusting to new coaching system like the Canucks are.  Let's see how the Canucks will do in the next few games when they play teams besides the Oilers.

Thanks Drance. Raty playing the wing and taking draws.  I am annoyed he is not playing during a rebuild.

Theres got to be something behind the scenes going on as every coach in Vancouver hasn’t used him much thus far.

On the bright side, fans in the cheapest seat in the house got to see the game for around $10 a goal.

Canucks have a young team, opening night jitters was obvious. The veterans on the Oilers took advantage. Young guys were too hyped and didn't have their legs....once they got their legs, it became a different game.

Looked to me like the Oilers were at the airport for the third.

Dom is half right, banter room was more popular with the older NHLers. You can absolutely still spot Buium there every once and awhile.

canucks would have won but our goalie KEVIN isnt cutting it very well

I am not sure what you guys are talking about us. Those who are realists will think this is good.  We are expecting the score would be 8-1, 5-0, or something similar this season given what they are trying to do and the team they have.  8-2 is slightly unexpected and 8-6 is a huge bonus.

Combination of Beer League with pond hockey.

Does it bother Canuck fans that PodZ was traded to the Oilers for a 4th?  Oilers signed him 2.95MM for 3 years and he plays on the top line and is a great player. How did the coach not see this guys potential.
