The Oilers might have a goalie problem…again

Daily Faceoff Edmonton

Today on ONE Everyday Tyler and Liam play is it cake with Ryder

After a terrific start last night after going up 8-3 through two periods , the Oilers fell apart in the 3rd giving up four goals in the 3rd period, but ultimately ended up getting the two points with a final score of 9-7 over the Vancouver Canucks.

After giving up a combined 13 goals in the first two games, who will start for the Oilers next game on Saturday when they take on the Seattle Kraken. Will it be Tristan Jarry or Devon Levi?

The guys also discuss the possibly of having a 4th goalie come up and play a game if both Jarry and Levi continue to struggle.

And the guys discuss if its time to shake up some things on the defence side and should they bring in Ty Emberson and Spencer Stastney.

With all these injuries piling up will the Oilers go out and sign a free agent or will they make a trade for a player

Vancouver deserves some credit. Nobody was stopping some of them.

“I thought for sure when it was 9-6 we were losing the game” also, let’s start Levi again. That guy looooooked so small on some of those goals. Hopefully he can shake it off, but this team plays like dog shit whenever Jarry is in net. It’s fucked.

I fully expect a jarry shutout Saturday if only just to confuse the shit out of all of us

If you think every single NHL goalie becomes bad simply when they play behind the Oilers, the problem isn't the goalie.

It's the Oilers not playing defense.

Insanity is repeating the same thing and expecting different results.

Oilers don't play defense until the final 20 games of the season. It's always been the problem. Never the goalies.

Jarry had 3 weak ones, Levi had 1, maybe 2? Most of the goals on Levi weren’t stoppable for most goalies.

Tyler provided such a good reason for Levi . After those jeers in opener. Not ideal to start Jarry back home. If he lets in a bad goal then the fans are chopping to tear him apart.

Stauffer just said Levi to start.

Not sure how Jarry ever made the NHL at this point,no goalie,no cup.

We just finished game two. Stats are all kinds of weird. Equally, we could say that the Oilers are on pace for 126 points with these goalies. At least let everyone find their form.

Someone please give me the definition of insanity!!!!!! A trade needs to be made or promote another rookie. Levi barely 6ft can’t see over screens. Jarry is weak as hell between the wickets!!! Both aren’t NHL starters. We have 2 years to get a cup and we won’t get one until we get a goalie!!!
