Imagine hearing this as an 8 year old kid. Life changing

This genre, which mixes metal and rap, is called NU METAL.

Their first two albums in particular will never sound dated to me, the production was incredible.

CHESTER CALLED "SING LIKE AN ANGEL AND SCREAM LIKE A DEVIL...!!!"

Youre not getting away without reacting to Live in Texas after this buddy😂

Great reaction, Meteora next pls :)

Crawling, it literally took your breath away. The first album i ever owned, Thank you Grandma RIP ❤

Your definition of "optimistic" is very optimistic. Linkin parks lyrics have very parallel lines to the reality of Chesters heartgiven delivery of his lines every single song

You've definitely heard In the End on the radio or elsewhere. It has done billions. Second is numb.

It’s not a guitar it’s turntables that they are scratching during the songs. I’m glad you’re becoming a LP soldier!

15:45 That’s not a guitar — it’s a mixing console. Check out the live version to see how Joe Hahn plays around with it.

Is it me or youtube was messing with the audio around Runaway? 😭😭😭

Linkin Park forever 🖤✨

rip chester❤

Thanks for sharing your definitive reaction to this magnificent album! 🙌🏼
If you enjoy Chester's vocal changes, you should definitely continue with his entire discography: it's followed by the album "Reanimation," a remix of Mike's first album, which is simply incredible like “Pts.Of.Athrty”, “Frgt/10”, “P5hng Me A*wy”, “By_Myslf”.
Then comes his second studio album, "Meteora", which is even better than the first, in my opinion, with such impactful songs as "Don't Stay", "Faint", "From the Inside" and "Numb".
If you're more into Chester's style, you have his more alternative side with his band Dead by Sunrise, which, by the way, showcases his voice incredibly well, although much softer than in Linkin Park.
If you're more into Mike's rap, you have his more rap-influenced side with his other band, Fort Minor. They're both amazing in their respective styles, and I can't choose one over the other; they're simply unique artists.

You only got half of Cure For The Itch. There's a whole other section after the part you ended at. Also I have no idea what that video was lol

I loved your face after the breakdown in "a place for my head", I can tell you were REALLY stunned :D

This album released when I was a freshman in high school and I first heard it as a junior. It was great for my angsty teen self. I didn't really listen to them after Meteora until recently. After relistening with everything I know now (my disorders of ADHD, OCD, and autism, which are rough when you're diagnosed at 39 :| ), I love that they weren't just angsty, they were speaking mental health issues. They knew more about me than I did :P
I wish I didn't relate to Chester's emotions and mental state so much, but I'm glad there are people bringing attention to mental health and making it easier to talk about.

Imagine being a teenager when these albums came out. Angst heaven haha.
