This version of the HNIC theme music is the finest.

What a legendary team that 1977 montreal canadiens team was.. wow

No ads on the boards. No ads on the ice. No trapezoid. a normal rectangular crease, and less room behind the net. Great hockey.

The best hockey play by play guy of all time! Danny Gallivan!

You have to love that the legendary Danny Gallivan preferred a stick microphone instead of the headset model.

" From the Forum in Montreal Hockey Night in Canada" Nine very important and cherished words.

Growing up in Montreal in the '60s, the Hockey Night in Canada theme was the soundtrack of my youth.  They should bring it back.

Ah, the golden voice of the greatest hockey commentator of all time: Danny Gallivan. Great memories. Hockey Night in Canada was on at 7:00PM MST each Saturday during the season.

Been watching a lot of old B's videos and gotta say I'm realizing cashman was a terrific playoff player.

Oh wow the memories.Roger Doucet,Danny Gallivan,Dick Irvin.Excellent! Interesting to see some guys have their ankles taped (around top of skate) i always taped my ankles but you don't see it anymore.

watching milbury 48 years later still pisses me off.  i was 14 when this game was played.... best period of my life ---- Habs on top, entering highschool etc

And Bossy in the interview picked Lafleur to score the o.t. winner.  Smart pick.

Thanks so much for this great upload. I had a big grin on my face all the way through.

What I'd give to have one of those 1978 Ford explorer trucks.  Boston had 11 20goal scorers this season,  and a fine balanced tough lineup.  They were still a few rungs short of the all star HOF stacked lineup of Les Canadiens.  The greatest hockey team the world over

I was at this one with my father!!!!  OMG, memories!

I should wear a suit and tie to an NHL game. Time to bring that back.

What genius decided to drop the Boston Shoulder Stripes.???

Guy THE GAME BREAKER

Including the original TV commercials too!  What a treat!!! ❤

Wonderful hockey game. Thanks to those responsible.
