I remember reading somewhere that the Commodore version of Frightmare has a bug preventing you from ever completing the game. But it's conceptually interesting for its time at least. This compilation is indeed good value and a nice bit of variety too!

An interesting compilation, and good value for the price, so deserved its rating.  Aliens is the US version of the film tie-in, rather than the UK Electric Dreams release.  The multi load was necessary and it does invoke a decent amount of atmosphere too.  Frightmare takes some getting into, and you would either get the game or you don't, hence the variation of magazine reviews at the time.  Who Dares Wins II still is a good blaster to this day and well worth the inclusion here, and Fallen Angel looks nice but it a bit meh gameplay wise.  All the tube stops incidentally are on the Northern Line (see screen at 23:18) except Woodside should actually be named Woodside Park.  Still, four pounds overall works out well enough here.

Looks great 😊 I haven't played that Aliens game, it looks really good. I thought Frightmare looked interesting.

Looks a good value package. Feel sorry for the programmer of Frightmare seeing those low Zzap scores, the game looks nice with a lot of work gone into it.

For a quid a game an absolute bargain.  The us aliens was a great game but I found it a little hard. Loved the presentation and the film stills .

Who cares wins was a fun game if u liked commando

I agree that any pack with Who Dares Wins 2 in it deserves a high mark. I would say your analysis is spot on for these. Except it deserves a lower score for the packaging. You said yourself that the spin is unreadable. And the back screenshots are unlabelled and uninspiring.  I would give the packaging 4 for this, as under average, which brings the score down to a reasonable level.

Great reviews! Definitely good value at the time. Have you tried the UK Aliens version? The US version is more bombastic but the UK version feels a bit more true to the spirit of the film somehow. I love Who Dares Wins 2, was particularly good on the Amstrad CPC I thought. Fallen Angel does Final Fight better than the official conversion of Final Fight I would say.

Nice vid. Shame about fallen angel as it looked like it could have been a decent cross between kung fu master and renegade.

Yeah it's a good collection. I think frightmare outs people off as it's a bit odd to play but there's certainly a game there if you can get your head around it.

The US version of Aliens is quite good, I do like the digitised stills and the equipment identification screen. The dropship level is good, but the rest are mixed. Overall, I prefer the atmosphere of the Electric Dreams game. Who Dares Wins II is great fun, well worth playing. Fallen Angel is very dull and boring, I dislike it intensely. Now Frightmare got mixed reviews, but I enjoyed playing it (on 10 Computer Hits 5 from Beau Jolly, another compilation.) Once you get used to changing items, it is possible to get a long way into the game. As a whole, it is reasonable value for the time but isn't the best in the 4 Most series.
