This is my first time hearing A Perfect Circle’s “JUDITH.”
As a man of God, this was a challenging yet deeply moving listen — but as a creative and artist, I believe in honoring artistic expression without judgment.
Maynard’s raw emotion, anger, and honesty hit hard, especially knowing the pain behind this song. I also personally resonated with the grief, having witnessed a similar loss in my own family that shaped our relationship with faith at a young age.
In this reaction, I share my honest thoughts, my respect for the strength it takes to make a song like this, and how my Christian walk remains grounded while still showing grace to those processing pain differently.
🎶 Art can be angry. Faith can still be strong. Both can coexist.

I want to make this clear — this reaction comes from a place of grace, not judgment.
As a Christian, my faith is solid.
As an artist, I respect raw emotion, pain, and honest expression.
“JUDITH” is powerful because it doesn’t hide the anger that can come with grief, and I tip my hat to Maynard for having the courage to create from that space. If you’ve ever wrestled with faith, loss, or questions you didn’t have answers to — I hear you.
Let’s keep this discussion respectful.
