The krusty krab has been destroyed many times so it’s clear that every time krabs rebuild it he changes a few of the rooms but keeps some the same

I'm about 70 percent confident that this whole channel started from a single thought from childhood that never left

I learned it was a crab trap years ago but as a kid I always thought it was a treasure chest

Don't let this guy see Oggy's house

I think that as a kid, the lack of consistent layouts within the spaces of this show are part of what made it so magical. It felt like there were secrets that we didn't know about. Like the rooms that are only shown in one episode feel like special places that are preserved in time. The basement of Mr krabs' house with the wall full of things that SpongeBob and Patrick have to paint is one that always comes to my mind!
I would never have been able to articulate that if I hadn't seen this video. But I do think that the ever-changing, fluctuating nature of the interiors while the exteriors stay the same is a huge part of the show's charm for me. It just makes it feel so make-believe and like it's part of our imaginations.

Just wait until he finds out about the talking squirrel living in an air bubble.

I just think that the Krusty Krab is just renovated every episode to avoid plankton potentially going in and to steal the secret formula

1:23 I'd like to point out that the guy who uses his entire body to clean the bathroom is also the same guy who cooks all the food.

wait till you realize spongebob's house is just a pineapple from the outside but a multi-story mansion with a whole ass library from the inside

It was always clear to me as a kid that the Krusty Krab is a non-Euclidean space with rooms that exist in a quantum superposition state. It is both larger and smaller than it appears on the outside, and whether a room appears or not inside it depends on whether someone is actively looking for it. Duh

They renovate the Krusty Krab everytime before each episode. It is a TV show and a film set.

I'd like to think that since the Krusty Krab has been destroyed so many times Mr Krabs likes to do some remodeling.

I hate to be that guy (Unfortunately I can't stop myself), but the garage is technically inside of the Krusty Krab 2, not the original we see throughout the show. How they're able to get the Patty Wagon from the deep underground garage through to the first floor is beyond me though. Love the BTS of cartoon buildings BTW.

Wow it's unbelievable that someone pays attention to this cartoon as much as I do. I faced this problem when I was trying to build Krusty Krab in Minecraft, the project took a lot of time because there was lots of detail to be considered and finally I figured out how to build them. About vents, I don't think there's much inconsistencies because there is a lot of space between the ceiling of the restaurant and the ceiling of the kitchen, bathroom, stock room, etc. They are in some kind of iron block and above that block there are some crates and sacks and an anchor, but there could be other things because that area is never shown in any episode, maybe the surveillance room and many of the vents are there. And about the freezer, it should be right behind the stock room, employees' rest room and bathroom. The door at the back of the restaurant should be opened to a small space between kitchen and Mr Krab's room (the wall between kitchen and the Krab's room should be so thick so that this space and the elevator could be installed). About the two windows shown in episodes, one should be at the back of the kitchen, and another one at the left wall (left when you enter his room from main door) of Mr Krab's room (note that it cannot be at back wall because there is the wall safe!). Crematorium and trash room should be underground! There are some episodes (for example in which (I don't remember its name) Mr Krab damages one of his fingernails (that's itself pretty inconsistent) and calls the doctor and decides to go to the doctor but doesn't want any of the employee to notice, so he turns the mustache of one of the painting in his room which opens a secret entrance to a secret hallway underground; so there has got to be some stuff underground. The giant pot of oil underground that you mentioned, is kind of at the middle of the restaurant so there can be still other things (like hallways I said) underground so no inconsistencies. I believe there is one stock room, but they have been shown a little differently in every episode.

7:20 It's a lobster trap, not a crab trap. Look them up, there are very distinct differences. I know this because I know people who go both, Lobster trapping, and Crab trapping. But you could know this, because multiple times in Spongebob, it it said that this is a Lobster trap.

3:47 OK it doesn’t matter but you’re telling me SpongeBob or Mr krabs didnt look in the freezer for 2,000 years 😭

2:32 that's... that's a window, sir.

The most consistent room in the Krusty Krab would have to be the dining room, it always appears in the same place, the front entrance.  The kitchen and Mr Krabs office also appear in the same place everytime, so when you really think about it, the Krusty Krab is pretty consistent.

This is just teaching me that house of leaves was actually about a guy living in a house that abides by episodic cartoon logic

Its a building that has appeared in spongebob dozens of times. Retconned rooms, secret locations, and inconsistent architecture is guaranteed
